Ann NAKASHIMA (CAN) skating to "Je Ne Veux Pas Travailler". No idea whose version.

And I have no idea what possessed her to wear that dress. Working downwards, it starts as blue, then becomes purple, then becomes orange, then becomes yellow, and finally becomes white.

But the skating was good.

She goes into 5th position.

You know how many of the Senior level skaters this season were tailoring their programmes for the Olympics being in Italy. Well, Yuiko SHIOHARA (JPN) has tailored her programme for this event being in Bavaria!

She is wearing a full traditional Bavarian costume, and skating to the type of music you think of when you think of this part of the world.

That was fun!

She goes into 4th position.

Thank you Annabel MANSELL (GBR)!!! Skating to "Gimme Gimme Gimme" by ABBA!!!

I love that song.

And I love Annabel's coastume. A green and blue jumpsuit. It looked gorgeous. And that is coming from somebody that doesn't normally like jumpsuits.

What a brilliant programme. I loved everything about it.

She goes into 5th position.

Back-to-back Scottish skaters. Now it is Kayleigh ROYCROFT (GBR), who is wearing a beautiful deep red dress.

She is skating to "You Don't Love Me" by Caro Emerald.

I loved everything about that programme too!

She goes into 7th position.

Kirsten STEPRATH (DEU) wearing a very simple plain costume - a black top and green skirt.

But the music was very different. I don't know how you would describe it. Very futuristic, maybe.

She skated well to it.

She goes into 9th position.

From not knowing how to describe the previous skater's music, I don't know how to describe Małgorzata KWIATEK (LUX)'s dress.

Skating to "Let Me Think About It" by Ida Corr and Fedde Le Grand. Which kinda makes the costume make sense.

Not my taste in music (or dress) at all.

But, she was having a great time out there. And was good.

That must be the entire Polish team with her!

She goes into 11th position.

Kristina KORHONEN (FIN) wearing a beautiful black dress.

Skating to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon & Garfunkel (yes, it was them!)

Everything about that was beautiful.

The thing that is concerning me is that she has a massive patch over her her entire left shoulder blade.

She goes into the lead.

CaroLiza_fan

Hiroko NAKANISHI (JPN) wearing a beautiful deep red dress, and a pale blue petticoat.

I loved the music. It was beautiful. But after a while, the vocals over it became too much.

And the skating was beautiful.

She goes into the lead.

Claudia OLIVIERI (FIN) is another one wearing a dress made up of broad different coloured stripes that meld into each other. The problem with this one is that I would be worried about it being a bit too long for skating in.

I don't know how you would describe the music she is skating to. It sounds like a modern attempt at composing classical music. And I am not keen on it.

But the skating more than made up for these!

She goes into 2nd position.

Ah, back-to-back skaters representing Finland. But with a Warm-Up in between.

Can't remember what film the music that Katariina JOHANSSON (FIN) is skating to is from. But, it is a trailerised version of it.

She is wearing a red dress.

She went in a bit fast when she did the go-into-the-boards-and then-push off move. But, on the whole she was good.

She goes into 9th position.

Dariya YAKOVENKO (UKR) wearing a gorgeous purple and black dress.

Skating to the version of "Lady Marmalade" used in "Moulin Rouge".

That was so hot! I had to open my collar!

I loved that!!!

She goes into 12th position.

Megan McINTOSH (BEL) wearing a lime green dress with black pattern and trim. And black stockings. No, it wouldn't be my choice.

Skating to "Groove Is In The Heart" by Deee-Lite.

Well, she was enjoying herself.

She goes into 9th position.

As soon as I saw Donna BROWN (GBR)'s dress, I knew it would be an Egyptian themed programme. The dress is designed to look like she has been mummified.

But I am kicking myself trying to remember which film this music is from.

I enjoyed that.

She goes into 12th position.

Thanks for all these descriptions! I wish I could see the competition, but not enough that I'm willing to remove my ad blocker. (Admittedly, I don't even know how to remove it, but since I never want to, that doesn't matter too much :no2:.)

Clockwork skater time!

Tatiana RHODE (DEU) is wearing a beautiful sky blue dress with white trim.

As you may have worked out from my first sentence, she is portraying a clockwork figure. And you can hear that in the music.

It was an ingenious programme. I loved it!

She goes into 3rd position.

Kamila WISLOCKA (POL) is wearing a skin coloured top with black drawings on it. I can't get a close enough look at it to tell whether it is supposed to be a map or tattoos. And she is also wearing a very short black skirt.

Seeing the top closer up during the replays, it is definitely geometric patterns.

The music is like tribal music from the Amazon.

I loved it!

Awww. She has a cuddly pierogi!

She goes into 8th position.

CaroLiza_fan

Debbie ESQUIVIAS (CAN) is wearing a grey top with black pattern, and a red skirt.

She is skating to "Mickey", but it is not Toni Basil singing. It sounds like a version from "High School Musical", or "Glee", or something of that ilk.

She was having a lot of fun out there.

She goes into 6th position.

CaroLiza_fan

We finish the penultimate group of this competition with Agnetha KEN (USA) wearing a lovely blue dress with white trim.

She was skating to "Here I Go Again" by E-Type. Suffice to say, I cannot imagine anybody with a Jaguar listening to that.

Or me. It was too clubby for my taste in music.

I take it the little girl sitting with her is her daughter.

She goes into 9th position. Or was it 8th position? It was one of those positions.

CaroLiza_fan

Even without looking, I knew this first skater in the final group was French.

Nobody but a French skater would think of wearing that!

It's a "Rocky" programme, and Audrey GERARD (FRA) is dressed as a boxer wearing the American flag. Blue top with white stars, and baggy red and white stiped shorts.

A comedy programme at that! To the extent that I think the music problems at the start were part of it.

We had everything you could think of in there! Press-ups. Getting knocked into the boards. And her getting knocked-out at the end.

It was absolutely hilarious. And absolutely brilliant!!!

Biggest crowd I have seen in the results area today. And she deserved the support.

And I missed the scores! :bang:

Magdalena STRZELECKA-SALZER (DEU) wearing a black top and blue denim shorts.

Not what you think of for a James Bond programme. She was skating to "Live And Let Die". I don't know who was singing it - it certainly wasn't Paul MacCartney!

I really enjoyed that. But, I do love the song, and wish it was skated to more.

She goes into 19th position.
