It was better than I expected.

at Minato Aqlus, Yumine Ono was "better than expected" category.

As an aside, I feel like writing 小野(おの) and 大野(おおの) with the same "ono" isn't quite right,
but "oono" and "ohno" sound weird too, so it's a bit of a dilemma.

While watching Sawako Inafuku skate it just occurred to me that Club Southern Cross (and it's skaters) might be based in Okinawa

I heard Okinawa has an all season rink.
I wonder if any national-level athletes have ever come from there.

Not sure but now that I'm aware I'll keep cheering for Namiki Ko to become a breakthrough skater for Okinawa
