Of course you posted it. I had this in my calendar to check today and saw the entry list and thought I would be the one to post this update 😌

No David S in Pairs 😭 😭
I wonder if they split or if they will try Novice Pairs instead. Hopefully, the latter.

I can’t wait for this competition to start
you are so late... :).
But we will give you this... you are 3 hours behind us on a normal day :)

Beautiful name Florence Beausoleil & Rémi Thibault
I think I am getting over my letdown from the Olympics and am finding new skaters and teams to pique my interest

Very standard in Québec
You will find many like that... but it's true.. this one is well done. Congrats to the parents.

I had assumed that it was just too early for them. The partnership was only announced recently and they might not be competition-ready yet.

Not in Ontario August sectionals either (mid-August). Not sure how that affects their ability to qualify for Sectional Championships (I think they will be okay) but the 2026-2027 rules aren't posted yet - just last year's. We know they aren't injured as both are competing singles. I wonder if they are still a team.

Well David S and partner are very new to pairs... we need to give them time :) I think that there is another qualifier for Ontario sectionals in early fall. If they are ready, we would see them there.

When new to pairs, everything is a challenge... I saw Étienne Lacasse's first competition as a pair boy. He was still doing singles at that time.
In the warm-up... he messed up his pivot on the death spiral. He redid it... It worked. In the competition, with the nerves, the mistake happened again. I am assuming this was one element that wasn't stable for him right at the beginning. The lifts and twists also present many challengers. I'd rather David S and partner (sorry I forget her name) will take their time and show up when they can do so in a secure manner.
