I turned it on to hear bolero and see two falls right away, rough skate for Tea. But she kept her energy up the entire performance which I really like

I just learned that I have been saying Uxia wrong all this time. Don't ask - its bad.
This feels like a Daleman inspired program. Needs a lot of work right now stylistically and technically. I am seeing her respond to the peaks of the music so I have hope for improvement.

If anyone missed the introduction, if a skater is wearing a red hat it means that they've gotten an assignment already.

I caught that too.
The thing is, most of the athletes that have their assignments probably have that red cap in their bag. So, I don’t expect to see many red hats

To my defence, I was taking Gabriele Frangipani to the living room. He will spend the day inside because the winds are supposed to be too strong and since it's tilted... I don't want it to break.

That was quite pleasant from Marianne Xu. Of course I love a Florence program right away. She took her time setting up her jumps carefully and mostly successfully until she ran out of gas a bit at the end. Nice pleasing style.

It's early in the season, so not everything worked out today, but Marianne has some qualities that intrigue me and make me eager to see her in a few months time

Cmon Lulu - lets forget yesterday and show us what you've got today. Good girl working that lutz and getting a positive result. Much more inspired today - love to see you fight for yourself.

Lulu Lin is a good performer, but she has never regained the form she had before her injury. I can't help wondering whether she might fare better in ice dance now.

That was better from Lulu. First lutz was strong, her stamina doesn't seem to be there yet for all the jumps, I'm not sure what shes going through whether injury or something else, but I just want to see her happy after a skate.

Lulu has become a very mature skater, and this program is a good vehicle for her. Some issues with the jumps, but also some really good jumps, so it's just a matter of putting it all together now

This is how Lulu starts the season…. Rusty and then as the season progresses, she gets better…
