Have my all event ticket. Trying to sort hotels. One I had decided on no longer has blocked rooms.
Traveling solo this time but no car (as of now) and walking a mile everyday is not feasible due to health issues (also winter).

Looks like current options are arch area or convention center area, or middle of downtown [Olivia street area]

Any suggestions?

I may volunteer again - which usually gets access to a shuttle but when I asked, was told volunteers don’t get access [this has not been my experience at past events so 🤷‍♀️]. So knowing if host hotel is union station or arch area might be helpful.

Still trying to decide where to stay. Anyone familiar with STL have an opinion?

Has anyone learned the host hotels? I usually have good luck staying near them.

Also have read mixed reviews about Pear Tree, Drury.

Any suggestions?

I’ll ask my BIL who grew up in the area.
I have room for one rider in my car too if you don’t mind the body bags.

Am I reading this ticket info correctly?? There's only 2 kinds of free skate tickets? Women and pairs are linked, men and dance are linked? I can't buy tickets for women and dance without basically buying for the whole thing?
And no indication of when the women will start, if the "session" starts at 6:15 but pairs go first?

I just called Enterprise to ask about parking, food, etc. OMG. Parking is $30/day. That's more than we even paid in San Jose. Also, NO food or drink can be brought in and, of course, there will be vendors open. She couldn't tell me which vendors so hopefully there's more to eat than popcorn and hot dogs. I'm shocked at the parking price.

I just realized Senior events will be at Enterprise Center, while Junior and Novice will be in Maryland Heights at Centene Community Ice Center. I fear this will foul up practices.

For anyone planning to attend the events at both venues, the hotels at the airport look to be the best midpoint between them.

Parking in St Louis is difficult and expensive. There’s another venue where you can park at the casino and walk, but this is not it.
If you want to save a few dollars you can use app “spot hero”, find somewhere cheap to park and uber or walk from there. It won’t save a huge amount, but it will save something, especially if you’re physically able to walk from where you parked. Ubers are difficult for me because my walker does not fit into all cars.

hi guys! I have a double queen room at the Pear Tree Inn St.Louis Convention Center, looking to share (especially the cost my wallet is empty). I didn't think I could ask this on the FS another site so I'm here! but do DM me if you're interested/know of people who might be

Just got the volunteer update. So different than past. Apparently volunteers will get beanies which are optional to wear — that sounds like chaos if looking for help but is also much less than in past. Clearly a budget has been stretched.
Also no transport option or mention of practices, and no guarantee of spots because they have 2x as many volunteers registered as they have spots.

I’ll still do it if I can get a spot but very different.
