I’m confused about Karin’s layout, it seems obviously constructed for the new rules but she’s not allowed an euler combo and an axel sequence? Rio also expressed plans for an axel sequence and an euler combo in the same program next season, did MF Academy not see that rule?

Agree. Avatar's music is a bit heavy and may feel overwhelming, I'd love to see her in sth lighter with more finesse but let's see how it grows. It's very early stage at the moment.

I have to check to be sure but rules/guidelines for Junior and Senior events at this competition is likely based on the current ISU rules

This document states that Men and Women's events (Lvl 6 and above) need to comply with ISU regulations
Though some of the MF Academy Juniors (Karin included) have only performed 6 jumping passes in their new programs today, perhaps their team decided to include the Euler combo and Axel SEQ for this event since it's still allowed?

Edit: Actually, 1Eu will still be allowed just not considered a "listed jump" so will not count for points
Now I understand why some Japanese skaters have been adding a fourth jump on their Euler combos (during practice) saying it's due to the new rules

I need to find more info regarding the new sequence rule but so far it seems 2A+SEQ will still be allowed with some restrictions/changes?

Is euler combo not allowed anymore? I thought is it allowed but euler has no base value and won't be counted as a jump, so it's just connecting element between jumps. To compare, it had 0.5 base value before.

It is allowed but next season, you can’t compete an euler combination and an axel sequence in the same program. (both are still allowed, you just have to choose one or the other)

I think so, actually now I’m thinking about it Karin did three combos so presumably she’ll just get rid of the 2A sequence next season.

Apparently, Karin is planning a 3SEu3F2A
As I mentioned in my previous edited reply, some or possibly many Japanese skaters seem to be planning a "4 jump" Euler sequence in an attempt to maximize points under the new rules
