That was an upset in Pairs. Also, Jazmine DESROCHERS / Kieran THRASHER finally attempted the 3S single jumps. So, they must be making progress on their salchows.

Good for them, feeling good enough to try an element is a good start.

I am here watching the scores here and domestically - better than yesterday when I had 3 different domestics and this one to follow.

The US girls aren't meeting the Canadian benchmarks either - only 2 seniors and 13 juniors so far.

I really like Rebecca Laiu. I don’t know about her jump prowess but she seems very good on the rest of the elements, the throws were good. And she looks like she is having fun out there. Marty isn’t the strongest of skaters but seems to be an okay pairs partner. How old is Rebecca? I am thinking around 17?

Not worried too much about Kemp/Elizarov. Just a bad day I hope. Her 3lutz throw yesterday was very good.

Rebecca finished in the top 6 at Novice Nationals last season. Her 3T is usually pretty solid

Liked that from Charlie and Cayden but it seemed a bit slow and tentative still. Hoping that will improve with mileage. But very watchable
