Neo - skating to Bruno Mars. I think he looked better than yesterday. He'll need 44.5 TES to qualify for Challenge, I don't think he'll get that here.

Jonathon - he's got a Twilight program that transitions into Turning Page. Some pops. It's nice seeing him transitioning into Seniors, he's done well here and last week at CQE.

Just watched Winnie Wang in women’s novice 2. Wow. Not the refinement of Lia Cho (yet) but she has quite an arsenal of jumps. She won silver in advanced novice at Cranberry and wasn’t on my radar before that. But she is one to watch for sure

Alec - The Godfather. He's got an axis on his jumps so I'm not surprised he's having some issues landing them. I think he's performing more with having a character to play.

Second group about to go onto the ice, for the Ontario judges to remember to be generous so John and David B can get assignments.

Bruce - Pink Floyd, he's got a rhinestone clock on his shirt to go with Time. He's popping. It looks like he fell going into the choreo spin.

Donovan - he's got a plain brown turtleneck on, so costume must not be ready yet. Step out on the 4S, turn in the 4T-2T combo. I like the program for him.

David S - keeping his free from last season. He looked slow going into the 3A. Only one combo and no 2A sequence in there.

Mike Slipchuk is watching from behind the boards. Mike please give some assignments

I wouldn't have given David S higher PCS than Donovan.

David B - fall on the 4T. Flip is fake today, he stepped out on it. Yay 3Lz-3A-eu-3S!

John - 4Ts are fake today. This isn't going well, I think David B is getting the win here. He looks like he needs a hug when he finishes

Bad day for John. Looks like he lost his legs after the fall on the quad toe. David B deserved the win. John needs to show more stability before getting an international. It will come but he seems to be particularly affected by nerves. As a junior, I remember him struggling when skating last. Hope Orser’s team helps him conquer this. He is special IMO

David S is close. He knew he needed the 3A to score over 219. His two mistakes were essentially missing the 3A and adding the 2A 2A sequence to the 2nd lutz. Landing these two elements would have gotten him over 219. So close, yet so far. That is why I'm happy he is exploring Pairs. With the right partner, I see him eventually succeeding in this discipline. I'm so happy with his bronze medal here. Huge accomplishment.

He did it. I missed the event as I slept in this morning. Hoping to watch this performance. But, he did it.
He will for sure get a Challenger event now. He is our #4 guy, after the National Team members now.
The question is, will Skate Canada give him the TBD spot. He beat Aleksa in the USA event. However, Aleksa scored higher in BC and is the reigning bronze medalist. It will be a close decision. But, David should get a Challenger event regardless.
