Test skates are compulsory for all juniors on start (except Emma Maria Cerkalova and Niccolo Boeris), plus our advanced novice ice dance couple.

I assume as they were not on the list of the requested skaters Emma and Niccolo are starting as self paid, and so should the sole senior woman Andrea Bacova.
Nepela Memorial is usually the test skate for seniors.

It's still early in the season, but looking at the protocols it was a rought competition especially in singles with a lot of falls and underrotations. Hopefully this was the though one and the rest of the season will go much better. :hap10:

Olivia won by almost 25 points in front of Alica. Alica did not jump a single tripple jump (injury?). Lots of underrotations for Olivia, levels lost in pirouette for both, with Olivia's fly-change combination spin in FS deemed invalid and Alica missing one of her spins in SP. My assumption would be that the JGP entries will remain as they are, right now Olivia seems to be the only one who is competition ready. I really enjoyed Emma's skating last season, so I hope this season she can finally stabilize her tripples and even if she won't get a JGP can shine in smaller competitions.

Both men struggled with their tripples. Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if Slovakia gave back all their JGP men spots except maybe Poland and/or Slovenia. Right now it seems unlikely that either of them will fulfill the JWC TES requirement unless it's significantly lowered this season.

Stefanovova/Boeris scored fairly well, hopefully they will carry the momentum into international competitions as well, I really liked what Luca Lanotte did with Pucherova/Lysak in their final season, hopefully his work with our youngsters will pay off as well.

Heckova/Valky came very close to their PB, which is a good sign. I'm greedy as they are still fairly young, but I would really like to see a steady tripple throw jump from them this season.
