Angelique Abachkina & Louis Thauron

[The Finn]

Ice dancers Angélique Abachkina & Louis Thauron represent France. Abachkina was born 26 January 2000 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, while Thauron was born 5 August 1995 in Paris, France. The split up, following the 2017-2018 season. Louis is currently skating with Adelina Galayavieva. Their fan fest is here:

I really liked their FD in Riga 2015,and I am looking forward to see how they develop in the future.
They were 8th at Junior Worlds in 2014-15, and 7th at Junior Worlds 2015-16.

They plan to compete as juniors again in 2016-17.

I really enjoyed them. They improved so much, especially technically, just looke at their Step Seqs, very sharp and clean movements. Igor did a terrific job, of course they still have to work a lot, but for now they look VERY promising.

Well, I bet FS wasn't what they wanted but they broke all their PBs and they were the best French team, so, those must count for something even if 7th place doesn't. Anyway, this was their 3rd Junior Worlds and next season will be their last season in juniors.

They have lovely lines/free legs .Great potential .Love the French ice dancers.I like the other French couple too but like C/Buckland don't really like their height difference.A/T look so much better with similar height.

Congratulations for Angélique & Louis for the victory. They also scored a huge PB. I think they beat their previous PB by 7 points or something like that.

It would be a massive disappointment if they don't make it to the JGPF final after winning today but surely they will make it.

Anyway, not the season they had hoped for but luckily for them France has three Euro spots next season and it should't be too difficult for them to make their Euro debut next season.
