The 6th Edusport Trophy will take place Dec 6-10 2023, in Bucharest, Romania. The event will feature the Singles (Women and Men) in the Junior and Senior categories and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating, and relevant ISU Communications.

As I was clicking into the Entry List for each category, I was thinking "Mmmm, not a big entry." Then I reached the Junior Ladies!

Are you sure the Italian Junior Championships are really in February, and not actually next week in Romania?!

Over a third of the field is Italian! 13 girls out of 36! That's the same as the host country has!

Another thing that struck me - we have three sets of sisters in the field: the Bertolinis (ITA), the Lezuos (ITA), and the Velculescus (ROU). So, that is another interesting sub-plot.

Another weird paid stream!

It does seem to be the way things are going, unfortunately. As I said before in relation to the European Criterium, apart from parents of competitors, I can't imagine many people would actually pay for these streams. And as a result, I can't see paid streams generating much income for the organisers. Especially when Solid Sport takes a cut.

Anyway, going by when the livescoring pages are updating, the event seems to have been running way behind schedule right from the start. Which is making it very difficult for me to do these reminder posts blind. I'm just posting them one when the score for the last skater of the previous competition comes up.

I don't know what is going on, if the livescoring is working or not. But, it is now 25 minutes since the girls were supposed to start, and there is no indication that the boys have even started. So, I am just going to go ahead and post this now, as if I want to be ready for the start of the GP Final, I would need to be going to have my breakfast now.

We now complete out Advanced Novice SP double-bill with 17 girls, arranged into a group of 5; followed by two groups of 6. Because the Time Schedule PDF's don't work, I don't know when there will be resurfacings.

My goodness! According to the livescoring page, the boys had barely more than started at the time that girls were due to start!

Well, I am going to go and have my dinner now, and I'll not be able to keep an eye on what is happening on the livescoring pages. So, apologies for posting this early / late (depending on how you look at it!)

To finish the day, we stay with the Juniors but move from the boys to the girls. 32 of them, arranged into four groups of 5 girls; followed by two groups of 6 girls. I would guess that there will be resurfacings after groups 2 and 4, but I don't know for sure because the Time Schedule PDF links are coming up with a 404 error.
