ABC will show World 2008 Men's short and Ladies' long on Saturday, March 22, 3 - 6 EST. It's a great new because I don't have ESPN. I am wondering if this is only an introduction for ESPN's intense coverage or they will add men's long and ladies' short later on. I really wish they will.

Strange scheduling of Gotheburg. Men's SP to follows Ladies LP. It may be to keep interests in Berntsson.

Watch out for the Basketball overtimes on this day.

I was watching the NHK Trophy replay last night on ESPN2, and Peter Corruthers <SP> said something like - “How would you like to see every performance of every competitor in every discipline? Well you can on www.espn360.com .” Then he went on to say how the Grand Prix Final would receive that kind of total coverage. Do they plan to do this at the World Championship?

I’ve checked the page, but can’t find a listing of future programming.

I've heard of ESPN360 but unfortunately my cable service does not yet offer it. Did email them via the 360 website form, but don't hold out much hope for action in time to do any good for this year.

Lucky those who get it. Try emailing from the website contact link for a schedule.

Well, they said (ESPN 360) they would and then didn't -- I saw SP's but not LP's so it was like the best thing ever (watching an entire event live) turned into the worst thing ever - because I couldn't see the LP's live and then was totally disgruntled.

Does Peter know something further? I can understand the Gothenburg Worlds but what about future Worlds? I doubt ESPN will carry those since ABC no longer has a contract with the USFS after 2008.

It was just announced today that NBC has reached an agreement with the ISU to broadcast 2009 Worlds.

ESPN is owned by ABC ie Disney.... ABC Sports and ESPN are one and the same.

Not surprising. It's apparent NBC will only cover skating in America and so there will be no more NBC after Vancouver because it is covering the Olympics. The 2010 Worlds is after Vancouver and not a beep about it.

If it's true that ABC will show Worlds 2008 on 22 March, that could be LIVE beginning at 9am on Saturday morning or taped for a showing the same day at 3pm according Heather's schedule.

It will be Men's Short and Ladies Long (3-6), everything else will be on ESPN or ESPN2. Check Heather and your Local.

ABC will be going out with a BANG! ( just wonder if ESPN360 will still be going.)

From how I and others calculated the time difference between the United States and Sweden, the men's short will be starting at 4:00 in the morning on Good Friday est.. The men's long program will be at 7:00 in the morning on Saturday est. I am assuming espn360 will carry them live.

I'm sticking with WebTV, which shows figure skating on NTV+. I'm hoping Eurosport radio will also cover Worlds. Then I can turn down the volume on the WebTV feed, and watch NTV+ while listening to the pbp on Eurosport.

Check also www.cbcsports.ca

They are supposed to be showing all the events - some of them live. Be careful about timing though. USA goes on daylight savings time on March 9 this year so be sure to adjust to Eastern DAYLIGHT time rather than EST.
