Alexander Samarin

Alexander Vladimirovich SAMARIN (Russian: Александр Владимирович САМАРИН) is a Men’s Singles skater who represents Russia. He was born on 15th June 1998 in Moscow Russia.

Also known as a Lord Samarin.

Alexander is the 2019 European silver medalist and is a four-time Russian national medalist (silver in 2017 and 2018, bronze in 2019, bronze in 2020). He is a six-time medallist on the JGP series and a three-time Russian Junior National medalist. In 2016-17, he won the silver medal at the JGPF, and the bronze medal at 2017 Junior Worlds. In 2017-18, he won his first Grand Prix medal, a bronze at 2017 Skate Canada.

To be fair, he did improve quite a bit from last year's junior worlds. And it must really suck to be just a sliver away from the bronze after being in 2nd after the SP.

strange indeed, Samarin will be turning 18,
even his younger batch mates like Sota, Denis, Daniel and Nathan have now switched to seniors.

well there is the Korean debutante and he got great score in his junior worlds debut
also Gumennik could be a contender if he gets a stable 3A

Erokhov is also potential skater but since he didn't do great at the Russian junior Championships I don't know if he will get 2 spots. Especially since Russia has only one spot per JGP event, although they will most likely get more spots because it is highly unlikely that Israel would use all their spots.
