Last year placing-wise scenario was similar, Kostornaya won JGPF and Shcherbakova got RN title. No worlds this year, so can't really compare. Looking at her 5 quads routine i think she had all the chances to win the title

Quite so. This whole thread has become a Plushenko bash party, full of rumors and pretensions on the part of posters to have some sort of inside knowledge (never specified), or such deep psychological insight that they can read people's minds and uncover their darkest thoughts and most evil intentions.

I just enjoy when Sasha skates. She’s been one of my favorite little sprites to see whirring about ever since I first saw her compete. She’s like one of those particle accelerators! I’m not putting energy into any of the speculation of rather if this a good move or not. Only time will reveal that. I just want to see her enjoy some more success.

If she could land the 5-quad program program in competition she would have won against Kostornaia and Shcherbakova; unfortunately medals don't get awarded based on practice - she had 1 clean competition last year at Nepela Trophy in September every competition after that had falls and after GP Russia, it would be easy to argue that she got progressively worse with her FS in competition.

Crook? Nyet to that. But I have no doubt that a very wealthy man like Plushenko could offer Sasha and her family much moola if she came to his Academy to be the star of his academy as she now is. Sasha and her quads make her an absolute showstopper which is what plushenko wants.

Don't know if I agree with you about the placement thing with Sasha. I think being surpassed by Anna and aliona this season hurt her deeply. But I'm with you on her setting records and being the first female quadster was very important to her.
I'm afraid to imagine the real reason of some many runaways from the Chrysral Dome is some sort of internal knowledge, not available for an average John Doe.

- Will TUT return to Russia or stay in the USA for time being?
Regarding Sasha specifically I'm deeply afraid the move is to guarantee her near competitive career end and to ease for her entering the skating shows.

Plushenko's own words during the last year don't give him much of credit. He can blame only himself for that part of the people think of him quite negatively. I mean if Eteri would have ever used words only half strong as him against other teams, she would have been cursed three generations back before you say quad lutz.
I myself wasn't against him before he started his campaign against other teams back in december.
