With Sasha the fearless Conqueror, i am ultra frenetic when it comes to what's next 🐶🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐩💓
well, don't be - Sasha is pretty confident on her way to the podium, it seems :ROFLMAO:

May Sasha have the FP she wants today! Good luck, Quad Queen!

She did Ihave the free skate of her life landed all five quads and won the silver medal. I was thinking that would be a gold medal performance if KV struggled and she did. I don't know how Sasha recovers from his she was very angry and hurt with her silver medal I'm sure she's thinking Nathan Chen did five claws in one Olympic gold I did five quads and got silver.

I do not know how EG keeps his whole thing together now. The only hope is Sasha and Anna are very close and that they will just continue on training together.

ISU = scum.
I've finished with F/S. Never again...
You think they didn't want the quad queen as Olympic champion? Sasha feels the same way. Nathan Chen landed five quads in one Olympic gold Sasha did the same and won Olympic silver I'm sure that cuts deep.

But there's no denying what an incredible force of nature Sasha is. Ladies figure skating has never seen anything like her.

Congratulations Sasha!! I'm so happy she managed to fulfil her personal goal of a 5-quad FP.

From my international feed I didn't see much of the reaction that people are talking about, but she definitely looked heartbroken on the podium. Regardless of whether that's justified, I think her feelings are definitely understandable. Just hope that with time she can be proud of what she accomplished and be able to find her love for skating again, in a good supportive environment. :ghug:

I'm so upset for Sasha...I'm worried for her...people aren't going to like how she reacted. Even if it was her real feelings, she's going to be called a sore loser and other awful things.

It must be so hard for her...I'll never forget my own reaction when she did her beautiful FS last season at Russian Nats and not only ended up with the bronze, but so so far away from the silver and gold scores.

That's when I realised 5 quads just weren't a dream for her, but a necessity if she ever wanted to win.

And now she did them and it STILL wasn't enough?

I can understand her anger "What's the point? Why am I here? Why did I even try?"

I recently discovered that in the ISU Handbook they use Sasha as an example of skating skills that are only worth 4-5. Regardless of the fact she doesn't get those marks in competition I wonder does she know? And if she does how much that must hurt her. Why would they use an actual skater as an example, WTF is wrong with them?!

I'm supposed to be sleeping...I actually missed Sasha's skate but when I heard about the 5 quads and saw her score I was so happy for her. But then Anna beat her and then she wasn't in the green room with Anna and Kaori and then I heard about her lashing out.

I hope Sasha knows that there are people out there who love her skating and enjoy her programs. I hope she can apologise to Anna and Anna will understand.

I hope a lot of things for Sasha, but mostly for her to be happy.

I think that her reaction was completely justified and understandable. It was actually refreshing to see someone have an authentic reaction for once, even if I do feel awful for her. Let the reactionary internet mob think whatever they want. They are just insignificant nobodies at the end of the day. There is nothing to apologize for. Her competitors understand these feelings, I'm sure, Anna most of all. Sasha is a world class athlete who will be able to come back from this. I know she basically said she's never coming back, but I think and hope she will. I somehow doubt that she will leave the sport with no major gold. She's just really going through the it at the moment, and maybe this can be motivation for the next 4 years.

I’m just coming to Sasha’s thread to say that I’m so incredibly proud of her for what she accomplished here. Her reaction is justified and I agree with the sentiment behind it. I would summarise my thoughts with exactly what she said in the press conference. I think the decision from here should be to move back to Plushenko. Had she skated her 2020-2021 programs at these games there would be no room for doubt in anybody’s mind.

Sasha can be so proud of herself! A five quad FS at the Olympics. If I'm not mistaken, besides Nathan Chen, she is the only person in the world to ever achieve that. Our fierce little Russian rocket. 🚀
Un freaking believable! 5 quads is out of this world and because Nathan Chen did that and won the men's gold medal Sasha thought the same should have happened to her. I can't blame her for that but I hope she realizes how special she was today and she did something that will probably never be equaled or broken unless it's by her.

I also think a lot of frustration came out of her from other things like dealing with coronavirus for two years and having it affect her schedule dealing with the coaching changes dealing with having unbelievable teammates that no one could ever believe in one discipline. Then being in the bubble in Beijing for two weeks and left off the team event I think it was just a lot of frustration that came bubbling out. The Wonder Woman of figure skating is only human after all.

I do hope she wins Worlds at this point she needs to win a gold medal and that was part of her frustration too.
