Alexandra Trusova

Great job Trusova! She may not have the natural elegance that Alena has, but there is something very charming about her skating and personality (both on and off ice). You can tell she has this very intense energy. Hope she stays injury free.

Such an amazing job! Of course, it must have been very tough to keep her mind in it considering the adrenaline rush I had during the step sequence even though I was just watching. That's probably why she didn't combo on the first lutz, also. But I liked the step sequence and the rest of it also. I think she's improved in a variety of ways especially with the eye contact and the upper body movements.

Of course, amazing quads! And I'm sure there'll be even more to come next season!

I think it's very amazing that despite not landing clean quads internationally all season she actually adds a second one, and when it matters the most she actually lands them both for the first time.

Holly molly, she got 92+ TES!!! :jaw: As someone from the comments on Youtube said: She isn't just a bomb, but a nuclear bomb :yahoo:

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I don't remember seeing Sergei Dudakov so happy like ever. Well done for your work, coach :agree:

I'm still speechless and shaking! CONGRATULATIONS, ALEXANDRA!!!:clap::clap:

My deepest respect to the new junior World Champion for this historical athletic and sporting achievement of two quads and record TES.
You might be tiny little girl, but what you did is truly GREAT!

I am very sorry to be a party pooper on not thinking that this is great. For me it's horrifying... The stress that is on that girl's growth plate from the constant repetition of these jumps is very scary. The wear and tear on the hip socket could cause lifelong damage

You are not alone with your concerns but so far Sasha can handle it and is the best Junior in the world setting records with her quads. I do think they should go slowly with her the next couple of years just to protect her from not overdoing it but I know that's not the Russian way it's all about work work and more work.

Congrats Sasha on an incredible gold medal with your record-setting scores and quad jumps.

I rewatched three times, calmed down a bit and have some remarks:
- whole arena was giving standing ovation, some little girls screaming in extasy
- never seen Dudakov so genuinely happy :yay:
- I'm not so sure she was exhausted anymore, because her last 2A was HUGE!
- I've seen some neater quad landings by her in trainings, but never a greater height - she was FLYING! :gclap:

Apparently, next is triple Axel and then quad Lutz(If the KnC conversation is anything to go by).
