Most of my Russian friends liked the FS costume and disliked the SP one.
IMHO, a deeper blue would be much better.
I think I've seen it 3 times on TV, in the good old days when people still watched TV.
Seems like this film is more popular here than in other countries.

I also watched this movie on TV, many times, years and years ago. It's a classic! A beloved classic.
Although now I have a better understanding of it and can notice some issues.

i was thinking to myself, with these pictures this person is presenting extremely unconvincing evidence.

basically my confusion came in because dante had mentioned "a fig leaf". since there is no fig leaf color (green) in the dress, i presumed a fig leaf must refer to something else, a part of the costume's design. this thus then had the effect of expanding the scope of the question beyond just that of the color. I now think dante must have meant just a fig itself, the fruit, which is the color of the sleeves.
oh well, at least we got a good laugh!!
ps- regarding the origin of the costume colors, your suggestion sounds sound, and i've heard nothing better.

It was def under rotated but what a great attempt. She looked a bit off axis and you can see (from her 4T attempts) that her axis in the air is critical to her getting the height to land the jumps. That 4T fall looked nasty though I'm surprised she went for it even though the takeoff was rushed. 4T+3T was a beauty though - first one by a woman! The program needs to grow on me and her spins could be a bit more stable and centred but wow what a technical talent!
If she throws the 4S back in there and does a 4 quad program (already 3 is insane) she will pretty much break figure skating, lol.

The thing is - it wasn't UR at all. I checked it in frame-by-frame video million times already. 50-60 degree of ur at worst. Defiantly not 90 degree.
Clearly a technical controller mistake. I think that if they were calling something UR it should have been her first 4T, that was far more UR than the 4Lutz.
They did disqualify 4Lz for God knows why.

I enjoyed her performances, and also her costumes. An amazing athlete and one to watch for sure.

Alexandra Trusova caught my eye last season when she kept attempting quads and kept failing them but never changed the quads anyway, all the way until she finally landed them on competitions. I love her drive and I'm definitely keeping an eye out on her this season. Can't wait to see her get that gold. She is truly definitely rewriting the history of ladies figure skating for sure!

I think ISU already succeeded with the plot. IMHO Trusova is not a competitor anymore. She is not that strong against the whole Board. She looks totally discouraged to dare.
But who knows... This season and may be the next one will be her "Get Rich or Die Tryin'".
She is one of those who'd easily die trying but a life of a wheelchair girl frightens.

What are you talkin about? Sasha will go down as the best Junior girl ever and then we'll see what she does is a senior when the time is right. She also will be a big money draw people will go to see her skate and jump. Everything is in place for Sasha to be great. Now it's just a matter of doing it.
