Alexandra Trusova

Thank you for those pictures. I can't believe how tall Nastya is now. She must be about 5 feet 5 or 5 ft 6 in tall because Sasha I think is about 5 ft tall.

This competition was a great experience for Sasha because she got to compete in cup of Russia stage 4 which is a lower level senior event and it will only be this and Russian Nationals this year for her on the senior level. Russian Nationals will be the toughest competition she has ever faced and she's going to love the battle. Sasha may have the biggest upside of everybody at Nationals this year the eyes are going to be on her that's for sure.

I find it very sad when people feel a need to mock or speak negatively about the junior skaters. Seniors is one thing, but let the juniors be. They are kids. Support them, cheer for them, be fans but please trolls and negative commenters stick for the seniors division. Leave the kids alone.

PS- not speaking about any post here, just in general, like with the videos mocking her jump on other sites

OOOOOO She got to attend with HOT COACH. lol. I'm wondering if she is going to be in the Gala? Some cities do this, include some of their junior skaters.

Who is Rozanov?

Tiny boss must think she could slay the rostelecom competiion.

"Power of beauty & beauty of power" - slogan of team Tutberidze :cool14: (I'm just joking)

Sasha and Alёna were at Euro'2017 Gala, this time Kamila Valieva from team Tutberidze will take part in the Gala

3A, but she did it on-floor long ago.
She and Shcherbakova will need it next GP cycle and they know it.
... What the heck? No they won't need it, except against each other.

Why do you keep repeating this when it's not true?

3A in SP(4.7)
4Lz over 3A in FS(3.5).
3.5+3.5-4.7 = 2.3

And that's not counting 4T or 4S.

Is Sasha still training the 4S? It seems to have vanished since Junior Worlds last year. I have no doubt she can still do it, but is she actually considering doing it in competition again?

And that's not counting 4T or 4S.

Consider the following SP layout: 3A, 3Lz3Lo, 3F.
That would give a senior female skater some enormous advantage against any other layout, especially 3A-less.
Having inferior SP means going to LP under heavy pressure, requiring more quads, risk etc.

I pretty sure Trusova and Shcherbakova will find themselves not at the 1st/2nd place after SP when ascending to Seniors. If no 3A adopted.

If they can land 2 4Lz in FS without being called UR due to prerotation (Satoko Miyahara had a 2A called UR because prerotation at NHK this year), GOE not withstanding, then you're right.

The argument about 4S and 4T may be moot if Rika also lands them next year; she's worked on it before, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that she'll have those next year. However, if Anna and Sasha do indeed land four rotated quads next year compared to Rika's potentially two, it will make for fascinating viewing.

... Yes, it would give a 4.7 point advantage, as I noted.

But you didn't say "3A would give her an advantage", you said "she'll need 3A".

Furthermore, there's plenty more to FS scoring than BV.

Unlikely if Rika cannot even do an optimal double 3A layout. I've said it before - "I don't think you even realize how strong Sasha's layout is". Rika Kihira does 3 non-axel doubles, Trusova 0.

Looking at Russia Cup, Trusova had one clean quad, one quad fall, and one quad pop and her TES was 90.47 while Rika's with a clean skate in her last GP event was 87.17. Trusova's BV was nearly 10 points higher. Yes, indeed, local scoring and inflated GOEs but still.

I hope she is not training to add 4S or 3A now.

She has the hardest layout already, the only thing missing is more consistency with her 4Lz and 4T then she is not even in danger losing to Anna with no falls and 2x4Lz or Alena with potential 3x 3As.
