I love this performance so much, so happy to see Sasha getting love from people all around the world. It’s what she deserves!
People getting goosebumps and crying watching her perform is the best evidence of Sasha’s performing abilities. People love her not for her jumps, but for everything outside of it too.
 
I did the test last year and sent current videos of the three Russian Aces to people who are actually not interested in figure skating. Almost everyone was most impressed by Sasha, especially by her cantilever. So you could say she makes people watch figure skating who wouldn't otherwise. A sports ambassador, so to speak.

Just an observation but when I was at Euros, every single cantilever of hers got huge “woah“s from the audience. It looks incredibly difficult from the stands and you’re immediately wondering: “how on earth is she doing that without breaking her knees?!?“

I think Sasha can be a role model for young girls, too, showing them that they can do everything. There‘s a fan video with a quote that I quite like:

“Then why boys but not girls? Girls can jump too! I just wanted to be the first.“

Of course I wish for her to improve on certain aspects of her skating but there is something that will always be hers and it‘s her bravery in attempting things no one‘s done before.

But of course the pinprick had to come from Alyona's side again that FS is more than just jumping. Well, Sasha will have gotten used to it by now. :)
