I still don't know why they didn't name her officially I mean other people mention well they didn't name the top two men but that's more of a debate on who to send to Worlds with their 2 spots. The top two women were pretty much no-brainers for anyone who was fair.

The sunshine cushions would be cute I just don't know if they're going to be able to do that at Worlds this year. We've seen them throw things in the Russian competitions but world's will be a different competition with probably different fan rules.

I also read something about then throwing mushroom stuffies to Sasha. While that seems cute some people won't like the fact that it's mushrooms because mushrooms symbolize something in figure skating where scores are bogusly high.

Personally, I don't really like TAT, but it is still an institution and her voice carries weight. So I am happy when her vote is for and not against Sasha & Team.
That being said, since Sasha's transition, virtually everyone who feels called has expressed disapproval, sarcastic, arrogant or simply hateful about the work and the results of Sasha and her team. Therefore, I am ALWAYS happy to read benevolent comments.

I was under the impression that Sasha's transition was much more accepted and well-received than Aliona's for instance. I mean Sasha is the only skater and the ladies discipline to ever leave TT and look like she's as good or better but next season after leaving.

The question is now is the eteri bounce more of a domestic thing in Russia or is it an international competitions as well? If it is just a domestic thing then Sasha will be in good shape at Worlds and even on the Olympic team next year where it will be more of a fair battle and Anna and KV might not get the Eteri bounce in Beijing that they do at home.

And they will dance Polish folk dances, with alternate liftings.
Yuzuru Hanyu is trained to be lifted, and maybe light enough to be so a little bit by a strong Lady (officially 53kg but I think he's built more muscle since; to tell the truth, at the Vaganova (ballet) Academy the limit weight for girls to be lifted in duo classes is 50kg; their partners being teen boys, who could get injured if lifting more), but he is very strong too.
Although Aljona Savchenko said he would be able to switch to Pairs and become a legend there too, I doubt he would; but why not for shows for instance? Both are earnest and loving fun.

It's nice to see how Sasha's movements acquire the smoothness of an adult girl. But also the fact that she does not lose the explosive sharpness of movements when the dance requires it. Learn new things, but not lose what has already been achieved on your way. An excellent path to perfection for Sasha.
