Around 02-23-2019, people were discussing whether Alina should be sent to the 2019 Worlds, and Alina fans here were talking about it too. Following are several such posts, where each replying to the previous one (page 783):

Sports.ru is having an Alina celebration today! :hap10: It's a holiday festival in Zagistan! This blog has some gorgeous photos and the touching video of Alina with her doll realizing she is the OC and getting the first hug from Satoko.

This one is long, but more than worth the time it takes to read with Google translate. What a journey it has been. It's nice to be reminded that people on the other side of the world from different cultures, speaking different languages, have the same feelings and emotions about a moment in time. There is so much more that connects us as people than divides us if we would only look at what we love.

Thank you all for posting these wonderful memories!! I hope that Alina is enjoying her day dedicated to her determinated, humble self!! It’s been two years and I still can’t believe how humble her reaction was. I remember watching the results and feeling so bittersweet while sitting on my couch at 1 am crying :laugh: Wouldn’t it be something if we were able to watch that same humble reaction in 2022 ;)
