Alina Zagitova

From FSO (please keep in mind this has now been translated from Japanese to Russian to English via online translators) -

"The Appearance of the Goddess." Japanese online edition of The Answer on training Zagitova with Masaru and Gleichenhaus

On Twitter, Japanese fans did not miss the opportunity to comment on the performance of the star duo Zagitova and Masaru.

Reader Comments:

“Sweet Masaru, and Zagi-chan is just a beauty.”

“Masaru live. This is a miracle! ”

a_y:

- I'm glad that Masaru looks good, and Zagitova is super-beautiful.

Aka:

- Do not burn yourself with this video!

Zagi-chan and Masaru-chan are so funny. Daniel's cat is beautiful too.

Zagi-chan's body plasticity is amazing.

Ki:

- It’s stressful when your choreographer is training with you ...

Pon:

- I feel happy as a resident of Akita Prefecture.

Eve:

- Masaru is so noble and very calm. I am sure they love her very much.

Adr:

- The phenomenon of the goddess. If she had appeared right in front of me, my blood would have gone from my nose.

Cas:

- A talented person who can shine forever!

Whatever she does, she is always charismatic and influential.

What a strong contrast, compared to (name redacted by me), who was not needed by her contemporaries in our unfortunate country.

Despite the fact that Zagitova is in another country, I would like to see more of her immortal charm and success. This is the bridge connecting Russia with Japan!

They really are the best! I will always be grateful to them for their love towards Alina. They were the ones that gave Alina fans content after the Olympics when the Russian media had other things to do. So much love, respect and gratitude for the Japanese for seeing her worth and choosing to acknowledge her.

Honestly, I'm grateful that the primary source of post Olympic attention toward Alina was the Japanese media. They were so respectful and treated her with dignity and let her slightly reserved personality shine through. She was allowed to be who she was and they celebrated that instead of trying to change it for public interest.

I think the Japanese media is somewhat responsible for the trajectory of her rise to popularity. Along side the Russian media's lackluster efforts, it was the perfect combination. She never became over exposed in her own country. She wasn't 'everywhere' post Olympics. She didn't become the IT girl that blazes out after everyone gets sick of the media build up. The slow and steady burn has been a great path for Alina. It has really worked for her so far.

IMO, what the Russian media did to Adelina and Yulia after Sochi really wasn't helpful in the long run. I'm happy they both struck while the iron was hot and hopefully made money. But the downside to it all seems to have been costly. Glad they are both past all of that now and living their lives on their own terms.

I read a few Japanese news articles and comments under them regarding russian ladies. I have to say, seems like the opinion of the Japanese often resembles mine on different topics.
They love Alina so much, always give her a royalty level treatment when she’s there, and comments about her are just so sweet.

They were making fun of each other all the time, it was so fun to watch. I think Alina was talking for Masaru, and said “Oh, I can be a little mischievous, but if I get the sweets/snacks I’d do anything”. Daniil was like: “Is this about you or Masaru?” :D
Alina the sweet tooth!

haha funny! What other jokes did they say during the live?

If Alina returns to competitions, I would like one of the programs to be jazz or pop. She can experiment a bit more now. I don't have a specific piece of music in my mind though...

Also since the backloading was removed and now that 3lz and 3lz -Lo combinations removed. The SP by default, for someone who cannot do a 3A, becomes very PCS centric. So here extra care needs to be taken so that each last decimal point of PCS should be achieved and generally the program should be constructed so that each aspect of PCS is visible to the judges. Extra work on SS would be beneficial in that aspect too.

P.S. For normal judging and not prince-like.

Do you think she will change her layout because of the scoring changes? I didn’t think so because lutz is her strongest jump right? Unless she is going for the quad flip for the free skate. :)

I'll wait for the complete layout, but I think 3Lz-3Lo is too much a prestigious combo for Alina, threfore I think she will keep it. And of course I hope for 4F.

Although, here is an idea:
4F-3T, 4F, 2A, 3S, 3Lz-3Lo, 3Lz-2T-2Lo, 3F.

That layout would be a big points scorer for sure!

I don't expect quad from Alina, I'm afraid for her health. :( Especially 2 quads per program. I just want to see beautiful Alina on the ice.

In your layout the number of repetitions is incorrect. If you repeat 4F, then you need to remove the repeat of 3Lz.

You can repeat two jumps (triple or quad), can’t you? Which means she could do 4F and 3Lz two times, like she was doing all that time expect instead of quad it was triple. I doubt that was changed? If only one repetition was alowed then skaters would have to jump way too many of doubles.

Also can someone explain me what was changed that some people write that Lz-Lo combination was removed? It’s a combination only Alina and Anna asi mostly consistent, and it’s a beautiful stuff, why would anyone go against it. I am lost why some combinations would be banned?

Yes, of course, I don’t know what came over me. :slink:
