Alina Zagitova

A very difficult period is rising for Alina, I hope she will find the strength to fight it. All the signs are against her...

Olympic champions generally don't do well in their post Olympic careers. I hope Alina is an exception.

During this very difficult time for Alina, I've decided to stop being a lurker in this thread.
Hello everyone. *bows*

Jesus... Zheleznyakov corrected himself after he said "correct judging", which the journalist didn't care to omit. Now the whole thread calls him a passive-aggressive dick who attacks his students. :palmf:

People just gone insane with all this story. Why don't you take an example from Alina and be more attentive and less aggressive towards people?

What do you mean that he corrected himself?

Care to elaborate how he corrected himself?

He was explaining that no one including Zhenya expected that a post-junior will get a senior component scores. "The judges could have judged the performance more correctly, I mean, in the way they used to judge everyone else." Considering that he's always supportive of everyone in his team, it doesn't look anything more than a slip of the tongue.

Why,she deserved that PCS because of her consistensy on that season she's undefeated coming on the olympics thats why her pcs was boost. Inflation on pcs is expected on an olympic game i guess. Not an expert but that was my observation.

Sounds about the same to me.
"Could have judged the performance more correctly...the way they used to judge everyone else"...what is he trying to say then? The judging this time wasn't fair (?)

Someone please tell me if someone in that team actually believed Alina can beat Evgenia.

If they were judge correctly alina would still win imo, why?her TES is so huge to beat, evgenia flutz wasnt even called her goe higher than alina is kinda weird.

I think the point was if you compared her scores from junior worlds to the start to the season to the olympics there’s a massive change for the positive which they may not have expected.

Yes! Masaru will also remind her every day that her biggest, wildest dream came true! She won the Olympics and she is so loved and admired that another country gifted her the dog of her dreams to grant her wish! That is pretty amazing :)

And Sambo 70 gets major points for allowing the dog to be at the rink. That is where Alina spends most of her time so it works out for the best. For Alina and Masaru. That puppy will never be lonely and neither will Alina.

She is in very good paws. And also lets not forget that grandmother is there and will be watching. Not that she wasn't before, but I'd imagine she will be keeping an even sharper grandmotherly eye on things. Just saying....

Oh yeah, Alina mentioned that her Grandmother goes to watch practice sometimes and learned a lot about figure skating because of her. She seems like a super nice and involved person, and also knows how to give Alina her space and not overwhelm the coaches.

Alina has a very close knit family and they all are looking out for her best interests, so I'm sure they'll give support and counsel in this important year in her career.

Exactly. It baffles me why people don't find it weird that Evgenia actually outscored Alina in GOEs. That flutz alone would cost Evgenia at least 4 points and if that's the PCS difference then Alina would definitely win with the BV. This "the whole world thinks Evgenia should get the gold" is killing my brain cells because it's as if they think people watching figure skating don't know anything about the sport at all or what.

Almost all of olympic commentator saw that she flutz and kaetlyn too but it get thru on tech.panels and then her fans were crying she was robbed🤣🤣🤣. I love zhenya but we should be fair here. Sorry to zhenyas fans

Quite the contrary, he said that no one expected the judging not to be biased against a 15-year-old skater. At least, that's how I understood it from his interview in Russian and his comments in VK - he tries to explain Zhenya's feelings, without trying to give a judgment himself.

Alina just did a live Instagram chat, walking in the park around her home. Looking very happy and she had another girl walking with her.

I took some screencaps so you can see her beautiful face

Over 3000 people in the broadcast, Daria joined in the comments and Alina answered one of her questions. She said hi to her friends too.

Couldn't ask for more, a happy Alina, enjoying life. This year is going to be so wonderful for her.
