Yes, the burn as a result of her Grandma's activities.
But regarding the patches it was stated there was a pain strike before and during FP.

She used them when she was having some grow spurt. Taping has many roles such as to support the ligaments and as an injury Prevention. It's not a bad thing to use them. It's just mean that you're trying to take care and help your body.

Figure skating is such a painful sport. It is very tough on the human body. I have great respect for these athletes. I'm sorry that Alina is dealing with pain partly due to her growth spurts. She has to adjust to her new body pretty much on the fly in her career and she's doing a very good job of it.

I didn t notice before the beginning of this season as she was wearing other type of tights.

Yes Alina has great character it is handling the ups and downs of the Season following her great Olympic gold. She really is setting a good example for everyone especially her 11 year old little sister.

First post !!! i always lurk here but never post because even though alina is my favourite i am the type of fan who likes talking about constructive criticism along with praise. but i just have to gush about how big alina's 3lz is looking these days. I finally got around to watching her final fp practice for nats and the height was so good on the lutz i had to rewatch it a bunch of times to fully appreciate it.
