Alina Zagitova

The local punishment system: if you do violations moderators write you in a personal dossier "infraction". Each infraction has an expiration date - 1 month (at least most of them, although I have a infraction that has a longer expiration date for some reason, maybe it is for a more serious one, I don’t know) from the date of appointment. You can see your infractions and the date they were issued in the "Setting". As soon as you have more than 3 "fresh" infractions, you get a penalty box - you can not write messages, your avatar picture temporarily disappears. Your conclusion will continue as long as you have more than 3 "fresh" infractions. Therefore, if you received them at one time - you are in prison for a month. If evenly, then about 7-10 days - until you breathe out the oldest infraction.

By the way, dear moderators (if you are reading this) - all this is not explained at all in this forum (absolutely!) and I had to understand all this myself by trial and error and random insights. In the Russian forums there is no such automatic system, moderators just write to you - "you are banned for 10 days", for example, and you know exactly the date of your "release". And here - just suddenly the possibility of commenting is turned off and you absolutely do not understand anything, and don't know nothing. The first time I was completely confused and even wrote on the mail in "Contact us" - "Please, tell me when my ban ends"? Of course, I was not welcome, they answered super-briefly, not from the first letter, and my subsequent timid requests to explain the system to me were answered - "everything is written in the Guidelines". I understood that Peter the Great's credo - "Ask for a little, speak briefly, go away quickly" - was respected there, so I finished the correspondence

Is it a temporary ban for flanker? I know I am one infraction away from being banned and I assume for good. the thing is I have been posting here for almost 5 years and I never received a warning or infraction until this past December. it's puzzling. I hope Alina knows what we go through for her. ;) Worlds is going to be exciting I hope Alina gives us alot write about. I am sure she will.

This is not her “only chance to win WC” (and here I’m not quoting anyone verbatim) this is her nearest chance.

Exactly. I agree so much with this (and ofc with everything you write, dear lusk8 )

I consider this season as a transitional year for Alina, both mentally, after the exhausting Olympic season, and physically, because she is growing. When all these will be in the past, everything will depend on what Alina's objectives will be, but with her jumps stabilized, and with her huge potential in the artistic department (because I think that she is very versatile, she can adopt many different styles), Alina will always be a force to be reckoned with. She has good technique on jumps, good edges on both F and Lz, some of the best spins in the world, and she's very likable and expressive.

She can win this year, and she definitely can win in the future. It will all depend on her motivation, her objectives, and whatever she will decide I will still be happy with it. But I have a feeling that Alina is here to stay.:love:

This is so crazy, I've been away from the forums (and the internet in general--due to moving) since the new year and I come back and it's like a different state of the world! Not going to catch up on all the forum posts, but congrats to Alina for Euros silver and I wish her well in worlds! Now it's time to catch up on all the photos. Thank god for the #teamzagitova account!

Re-read my previous post. Maybe my English is failing me. In short: look in your "Setting" (in the upper right corner) - there is your infractions. Those that are written "Expired" - in past. Important only those on which it is written "Expires [data]". Now flanker has more than three such fresh "infractions". When they become three or less - he will return to us. This is what I know from my own experience.

Nooo not flanker one of the real MVPs:sad21:

I caught up on 4CC yesterday and today, felt very incomplete (still enjoyable though) without Alina. I'm excited for World's!

Thank you for the elucidation, Orlov. It sounds as though you have been doing great pioneering work in Infractionland, gaining real-world experience in that penal colony, and saving some of us the need of travelling there ourselves, I hope.

Thank you sir. My infractions have expired!

Flanker is officially a jail house lawyer now.

I hope Alina gets plenty of time to adapt for the time changes in Japan.

Part of the equation to make this viable (apart from ticket/hotel money) is finding an appropriate venue to train at before they are allowed into the official one (which I assume will only happen close to the day of).

I hope she gets at least 6/7 days there before she competes but whatever happens I have faith in her.

Alina is not only my favorite skater, she is a great skater and a hard worker. When she can be calm and relaxed, she is sharp and her intricate and super hard programs truly shine. I want her to shine and get the clean skates she’s working super hard for.

This is not her “only chance to win WC” (and here I’m not quoting anyone verbatim) this is her nearest chance. Other skaters can get better now or in the future, so I’ll confidently say that Alina too can get even better and has barely scratched the surface of her deep talents.

She can surely do it now and she can surely do it in the future too.

Go super Alina Zagitova!!!

Absolutely agree! Nothing is set in stone in figure skating either. Alina has still the potential to be the best and if you look at the results of the 4CC, with a clean skate (or at least near clean) in both programs, she could have easily won if she had skated at this competition. Let's hope she'll conquer her inner doubting Thomas and all her demons who are holding her back. I have faith in her that she'll be able to overcome all that negativity and we'll see her triumph soon again! :) (Gee, how many "hers"!)
