Alina Zagitova

Exactly! Personally, I think Alina is one of the rare people who looks truly beautiful without any makeup. I remember seeing pics of her in the airport arriving in Pyeongchang, jetlagged etc. and while the other skaters all looked as I would expect someone to look after a long flight, Alina still looked gorgeous, and quite obviously had no makeup on. While I am thrilled she is the face of Shiseido (actually my favorite makeup company), Alina herself actually needs NO makeup to look beautiful.

Alina likes it and that's important. There are others who tell the world they don't want or need any makeup, good for them.

I didn’t think it was too photoshopped. :)
But I also work close to the beauty industry now, and see these images all the time, so maybe I got slightly brainwashed haha :)
Alina is a natural beauty, on the inside and on the outside too ;)

Sorry to but in on your fan fest, but I thought Alina fans might appreciate this link (if it hasn't already been put up), and the row of pictures at the top, which shows again how Japan have taken her to their hearts, she's the only non-Japanese skater Japan there...

nothing to apologize for, you're always welcome in Alina's ff :)
And thank you for noticing that on NHK website! :hap93:
it's so wonderful to see she took a special place in their hearts,
it warms my heart to see how loved she is there, whenever she goes there, she is showered with love :luv17:
I hope she'll have great skates there and just simply enjoy her time with japanese audience.

In the meantime, her japanese fans are already getting ready to meet her

A few bits that I liked
“For now, I can’t skate like Carolina Kostner yet,” Zagitova said while laughing, “but I’m working at it.”
Humble queen
“Alina is a really beautiful skater,” Gleikhengauz said. “She is amazing. When we make a program, she always makes something bigger than a program. She always comes up with new ideas: ‘why don’t we do this?’ ‘why wouldn’t we try that?’ She is such an artist.”
Artist! :luv17:

And this:
No one knows how long Zagitova will take to master her most difficult jumps. But as for now, she still is the reigning Olympic and world champion, and she intends for that to last.
Amen, brotha!

I wonder what place Alina needs at NHL to go to the GP Finals?

If she medals she qualifies.
If she is 4th with a score higher than 211,4 she qualifies.
If no of the Samadurova, Eunsoo, Andrews doesn't win (most likely), 4th with 187,55 will be enough to qualify.

Two clean programs and nothing else matters.

I'm quite sure that with her skating skills and tricks she learnt from her dad, Alina might score in NHL against Ovi and others well enough! as for NHK, as zounger said

Considering Alina's tricks with hockey stick I'm expecting 3 goals and 5 assistances for her personal stats
