Thanks so much AKTN ! For me it's intriguing how Evgenia and Alina behave in Eteri's presence. Both girls are obviously focused and respectful but with Alina a kind of anxiety can be felt. Alina is somewhat mentally more delicate than Evgenia. She must have been really afraid of Eteri when younger, like 2 years ago. It must have been really hard for her. But she has never given up. And there were girls who did, who resigned, because they couldn' t stand Eteri's routine. For me it is at this point so optimistic, so pleasant to watch how everything is paying off for her nowadays. How incredible progress she has made for just 1-1,5 year. She is already second in the world. If only she's able to be more tough on the ice, really self-confident - she can absolutely keep up with the Queen Evgenia.

I can't exclude that Alina will worry about Evgenia and other athletes and as a result will less worry about herself in GPF. Anyway I wish her all the best.

Despite her detractors, Alina has a star quality that makes it difficult to take eyes off her when she performs! Not many skaters have this quality.

She got the question but refused to answer, so pretty much like Evgenia. But I really do hope they will go. Russian skiers just said they had an "internal voting" and they want to go.

There's talking about Alina being a bit pcs overscored yesterday. But I admire her 3lz-3lo so much that IMO she should be awarded extra for this one at least. The current TES system does not... 0.88 point advantage is almost nothing really.

People will always find things to complain. It’s not like she’s got the highest PCS. Given the difficulty of her program she definitely deserves it.

Meanwhile I’m nervous as hell for tonight. I know she always nails the FS but I’m still nervous.

223.30 SB. She looked so happy! I'm really glad for her. The free skate wasn't perfect, had some trouble with the landings of a few jumps which is uncharacteristic and made me so nervous but she's done it.

She needs more confidence. I'm actually worried about her... because her team should have addressed her mental issues before that. She'll have more stressful competitions to carry on than this GP final.
I remember that during her junior season didn't had this issue. I wonder what happened :sad21:

Well she just won, she looks pretty happy and confident in K&C. She can't be perfect with every single jump landing considering the difficulty that she's going after. I don't know what people are expecting. And it's the GPF, not the Olympics. So I'd rather she has some setbacks now rather than then.
