Eteri chose the costume... To be honest, I don't know what they want to show with these choices:shocked:
I recall that also Evgenia had an EX on the borderline on Vogue music... Maybe they want to show that they are mature now and capable of feminine skating?
 
I think the problem is different with magazine pictures and the gala costume, because Alina as a young girl who appears in these types of magazines (as a result of her being an athlete) gets paid for it, she goes into this photoshoot as a job, so there's no much say of what's going on in the pictures themselves, that's why I don't like them, the photographer and whoever thought the concept of sexualizing a 15 year old was a good idea, at least i my opinion, are wrong and have very serious issues with sexism and patriarchy.
In contrast, the gala outfit, I would like to think Alina has more say in it and they're not making her wear something she's not comfortable with, as I say she is 15 years old, she is allowed to choose what to wear even if it's a little risky.

tl;dr: the costume is her choice we should respect it, the photoshoot was not and it's the photographer's fault nt hers.

I do. I still feel embarrassed for some of my dresses at 15-18 y.o. and some of my actions....

I don't really know, because when I look at Alina in her everyday clothes, she looks pretty conservative, up now at least.
And her pictures on Instagram the same...

I mean, I think we all went through that phase, but I also remember my mom forbidding me to go out in revealing clothes. Alina is skating dressed like that for the world to see and I just think they could have kept the outfit but all colored in instead of the flesh colored mesh.

Hi! while I personally don't find her gala costume "outrageous" (usual costumes are more "revealing"), I'm really not sure whether Alina really likes (or not likes) her current gala...
Well, she was asked about the new gala by a journalist and only responded that "it is new, different to her". She also said that Eteri created the costume. And if Eteri likes something, It is really no way Alina would oppose. She is very respectful and obedient towards her coaches.
I noticed Alina changed her instagram profile picture just at the beginning of GP series and she chose the picture from her old "pink panther" gala. She still keeps it as avatar/profile picture.
But obviously I cannot say if it's a hint or just a coincidence.

Anyway I think Danil and Eteri simply wanted to radically break with her childish pink panther image and suggest she deserves adult pcs
 
What gives me second thoughts about the gala is a brief moment at the beginning when she's doing some ambiguous acrobatics, but it gets lost within the really interesting, original and artistic (at least I think so) concept of "preservation of fire in the very ancient times".
All in all, I don't freak out because of this gala program.

I know, I know. But wouldn't say, 'cause LGBT start shouting and cursing.
 
I was just thinking, I really want to see Alina go there and win everything left this season. That would be amazing. At the age of 15 in her first senior debut season, she would have achieved a grand slam and won gold in 2 gp assignments, gpf, rus nats, europeans, olympics, worlds. That might be wishful thinking and a bit too ambitious, but I know she can do it if she doesn't let nerves get to her. Europeans are next week and the Olympics are only a month away, and I can't help but hype her up at this point haha.

I think Alina's dress is perfectly feminine :love:
 
Alina's average FS score in this season is 0.66 higher than Zhenya's. With the gap of 1.70, we may have a new European champion in two days.
