She is in great shape. From the moment the music went on and I saw her face, I knew she would nail it. Well done, Zagi! I personally prefer her SP way more than her free but that's very subjective. The dramatic music suits her somehow better because she doesn't have to force herself to be all smiley. Still, I noticed from Euros and now that she started showing some freedom in her mimic and even a slight moment of flirty eyes, definitely improving those face expressions! :hap93:

Congrats to Alina. The first time I saw her was at 2017 Russian Nats and she was performing her Don Quixote program. I was very impressed and had the feeling she would be big, bigger than Evgenia. I'm so glad she finally conquered her sp.

For Alina to perform that great at a mere 15 years of age after Medvedeva had a huge score and after wada disgacefully interupted her practice and after negative comments from Ashley Wagner and the vile Christine Brennan it's just remarkable!

Hoping Alina can win gold but I would be okay with Evgenia too but I am concerned for a Alina who performed in the team event I hope she has enough left for a very difficult long program. Remember what happened in 2014 in Sochi? Yulia was tired after he team event and her LP was a struggle. But Alina seems to be tougher and better than Yulia was at 15.
