So I’m still new to understanding the sport and scoring system. Can someone help me to understand the difference between PCS in her team FS and individual FS. Her performances seemed comparable but there is a 2 point difference in scores. Is this usual? Are different judges used for the team event?

Because first attempt for 3L3loop was unsuccessful, and most important, judges reserve a points
for Kaetlyn and Zenja

I think it would be good if someone will post the ideas on Daniil's Instagram... you never know, but it might be helpful

I also like how she skated on Dream at SOI (although it was just a small piece).

Dear EdRoz, the caption on the video is wrong, she was skating to Saint-Sans "Samson and Delilah". I am afraid it was mistake of her team(Daniil and Eteri, i am looking at you ), because it was in her isu bio all season and that's why all videos of her sp have wrong captions, unfortunately.

You mean TES, right? Her pcs were almost identical - 75,02 and 75,03.

Nothing about growing in this specific video.
But you are absolutely right, there were questions about this matter during and after WC and not once, i recall several interviews about it. Alina confirmed that she continues to grow, that's why coaches make adjustments to her jumps, but she did not say "i grew 3 cm after OG", i guess she meant that process is ongoing/continuous. Then Eteri at the press-conference in Moscow said that Alina's growing cannot be used as excuse of bad FS as she grew 3 cm not after OG, but during season. Well, at least that's how i remember this.

You can be right, thanks. I thought Tarasova statement must come from something, and I am probably wrong.

That quote: "We shouldn't allow juveniles to do double axels because not everybody can do them." Is it about political correctness? Overally, from that article it seems like the degradation of U. S. skating is caused by similar restrictions to those that now are proposed as the rule changes. I understand some concerns about the developing, but as he speaks about discouradging juvenile skaters to do harder elements, it reminds me that intended lowering of BV for quads and higher penalization for falls.

Alina first went to Moscow with her mother ... At first time they lived with friends, did not know if Alina would leave at Sambo 70. The road to the ice rink took two hours in one direction. There was no point to return in the middle of the day , there was still evening training session. Therefore, there, at the ice rink, they rested, and they returned home closer to midnight. And early in the morning again for training ,before the subway it was necessary to go by bus, in the morning buses went badly because of very cold, they waited, froze in the cold. They called me: "We are frozen, there is not a bus for a long time". My heart was broken at that moment. Then, when Alina was left in group, we rented an apartment in Moscow and sent her a grandmother and my wife returned to Izevsk , we had to deal with our youngest daughter

When I heard the song I thought at Tarakanova too. For Alina I imagine something more lyrical...her "Dreams" SOI performance was mentioned earlier and that's what I imagine too...for me it was breathtaking :luv17: Like I've discovered a new Alina...really suits her personality and graceful skating

Not exactly. The first lutz was unstable because there was some hesitation in her about adding the loop. She decided not adding the loop since the landing isn't perfect. It's the unstable lutz landing in the ladies' event that got 0.5 goe. The lutz in the team event got a 2 goe, so there's that.
