I think I’m in that video!! I sent one in!! I can’t see it yet though cause I’m at school and Instagram is blocked on our wifi (but Golden Skate is not [emoji57])
I think I look and sound like a bit of a dweeb but that’s ok it’s about Alina not me [emoji23][emoji23]

That was an awesome gift for Alina!! I got super emotional just watching it. And we have our own GS FF MVP taking part in it. Congrats India, I'm sure Alina loved to see you there and know that she has a fan base spreading across all continents.

That was so sweet. They did such a good job. I teared up watching that. She has the best fans.

Her Fifteenth year was absolutely amazing for her. Imagine having your dream that you've worked so hard for and given up so much for come true like that! I hope her Sixteenth year finds a way to top it. I guess Masaru will help with that.

I watched the videos again and you know who I saw????

The Japanese Comedienne that dressed up like Alina (they had their picture taken together during SOI).

She is last in the first video and she is speaking English wearing the tiger costume again!

To paraphrase Dick Button..... "How Wonderful !!!!"

In honor of Alina's 16th, and EdRoz's birthday, a quote from Alina about her tutu skirt, speaking to what that interview with Olga posted here a little bit earlier mentioned.

It comes from a series of interviews Canon did with a bunch of figure skaters, I'm guessing from December 2017, but since it is all in Japanese I can't really say.

Alina talks first about how she had lots of problems with her combo jumps (specially in the short program), and how happy she was at the GP final she was able to overcome this. When they asked her how she did it (overcome the difficulties) she said this: "After the French cup, I talked with my coach a lot, and I also practiced a lot. Also, I cut the costume skirt a bit shorter, I think that it became easy to move because it did not become a hindrance to the jump."

In Japan they have a comedienne that not only loves figure skating but even took the effort to send birthday greetings to Alina.

In the USA if any comedians talked about figure skating it would probably be to make fun of it.

Exhibit A - Leslie Jones with her insipid "tweets" during the Olympics making fun of the costumes, saying that Kolyada looked like a James Bond villain, etc...

Now I can firmly say that for mostly sentimental reasons I hope Alina competes at NHK Trophy. And that is my final answer.
