Alina Zagitova

I think it is urgent that Russia cooperates with Japan in the area of animation and aesthetics! and thank you for giving me the opportunity to have a nightmare tonight XD.

Hey, Russians made some of my absolute favorite animated movies of my childhood. Such as:
Myshonok Pik (Little mouse Pik): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0I3YgFLSy8
Zhuravlinye perya (Crane feathers): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CS2CsBQh9MI
Zolushka (Cinderella): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n8mrWEOJ_s
And many others.

You are not alone, as I remember , a girl from New Zealand congratulated Alina on her birthday in video from teamzagitova

That was me [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I was pleasantly surprised too, him and his wife were super gracious and affectionate with the Masaru, they handled her with extreme care and affection. I'm sure they are big dog lovers too, and it was nice to have them there and yet they let the Akita Inu society have their moment and be protagonists in this story.

I have to say, Masaru is the best brand ambassador for Akita's, that dog had the best disposition and is super adorable. Very cuddly and calm (chew-fest is par for the course in any puppy of any breed). She was never stressed out, cutest dog ever.

Like Finley mentioned, so well in fact, best post, seeing Alina and Masaru will melt even the hardest heart and will brighten any day/month/year. Alina is such a sweet girl, her happiness and excitement are contagious, she always demonstrates how truly happy and grateful she is with any gesture made towards her (big or small). Kudos to her amazing family.
Thank you for saying all of this so nicely.

Also - belated congrats on post #500 and a HUUUUUGE thumbs up for your new pic.

So many things to look at and watch today. I finally got around to watching the whole video of the ceremony.

I'm including the link again - to show the part where Masaru shifted around in Alina's arms - and she balanced Masaru on her knee while standing on 1 foot.

Maybe because I'm old and out of shape - but I thought that was quite impressive - and she did it so effortlessly too. She really IS an elite athlete in every sense of the word.

Then everything she did with Masaru was so gentle - no harsh movements or "yanking".

Ah, if we pick from the Soviet repertoire, I agree: there are some pearls (which inspired Walt Disney and Japanese animation for that matter).
But since then, there hasn't been anything of the same quality and it's a shame. And don't talk about Masha and the Bear XD

What about him? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandr_Petrov_(animator)

or this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbzSEcPxhas

but of course soviet heritage has huge amount of masterpieces, and now no censorship - no quality, only money makes the world go round

I've seen Petrov's Old Man and the Sea, it was really beautiful. And that thing with freedom but commerce is exactly what happened with czech animated movies (so famous once) also :(

But at least we have some art of Alina and Masaru :)
