Alina Zagitova

I bet Alina's last three jumping elements will be:
- 3Lz+3Lo
- some other combo (2a+3T/3F+2T+2Lo/some other fombo we haven't seen yet)
- 3Lz (as backup for the 3Lz+3Lo)

I don't thing they will risk three combos without backup, or at least at the beginning.

Would this have less BV than Shayuki's layout?
3S
2A
2A
2Lz
---
3Lz-3Lo
3Lz-3T
3F-1Lo-3F

*I don't want her doing this layout but what a way to give it to the ISU!*

It was a bit frontloaded by I held it with Tano arm all the time. And I did eight turn spins with it too.

Well, just now I'm backloading with two glasses of wine :) (one third of the bottle, rest from the other day)

What about a fully backload SP and fully front load FS to give some balance lessons to ISU?

Hahaha! I love it!

I really hope Eteri comes up with a nice and bold plan to max out the points to make a fool of the ISU.

One question: Is the bonus for the last 3 jumping passes in generel no matter when they are placed or for the last three jumping passes in the second half?

Is Christina Aguilera's voice in Burlesque? I don't like it, it sounds irritating.. in general, I don't like Christina (sorry C.) to be used in figure skating

the memory of "candyman" lingers like a toothache :dbana:

Yup that's her, she has a high pitch that can be really annoying sometimes.

Fun fact about Candyman, reading on another thread how people found Candyman so risqué and bad and bla-bla-bla....and I'm thinking all the time about the other Candyman (Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew ....- From Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), shaking my head and going "how is that risqué".

I'm so old...

I hope they don't pick a Christina song (or version of one) for Alina.

Since Madison and I are talking about it, here is a link to a picture of Daniil's playlist https://s8.hostingkartinok.com/uploads/images/2018/06/a7fda9abf987165379637b96cd92c2b5.png (originally posted on the Russian Ladies thread).

Since Phantom will be her SP, I'd say for her FS with the incentive to put 3 combo jumps as the last jumping passes, he is going to need something with a bit of a bang in the end, like those Gattokiller medleys he has on his playlist (Sotnikova's 2012 FS, and Radionova's SP) or Hanyu's Notre Dame one.

I'd say a good tango could also deliver that.

Matilda has the advantage of giving her a character to play, as would something like Gisele, but from what little I did listen to music from the movie it sounds very lyrical and kind of slow.

I'm so curious to see what will be though, they are killing me with the anticipation.

The link’s not working for me (it doesn’t show up) sorry, do you think you could post again please [emoji28]

You have a great ear for figure skating music choices, this one would be perfect. It has tempo build up for jumps, calm parts for more lyrical moments, that would be perfection for Alina. This would allow her to interpret the music, hold positions, do more suave transitions while still having the right build up to accommodate combo jumping passes.

And, another plus, I don't remember hearing it used in figure skating before.

:thumbsup::clapper::thank:

It's not my merit lol... it is in Daniil's list

I was so caught up trying to understand the Matilda thing that I completely missed it, you pointed me in the right direction.

Since Alina talked about wanting do to a Tango I hope she gets to do it, even if this means she won't have an "already fleshed out character" to play. This will be different enough from the programs she has done in the past to showcase a different side of her.

I think it would be a good move to change the style, at least this season..
Though I don't know if they think the same, for example, Evgenia had more or less the same style during all senior years.

I think that a change of style will do her good, allow her to showcase range and a different type of interpretation. They do seem to stick to a theme do (as you rightly pointed out in Zhenya's case), but they always switch it up in their EX programs....I hope they take a leap of faith and go for it since she is willing.

Until this season I only knew the Candyman song you're talking about too!

I think we are probably safe for a few years before anyone skates to Candyman again.
