Alina Zagitova told what she is doing and how she brings up her Japanese dog Masaru.

Alina dreamed of a dog since childhood. The girl decided to approach the issue of upbringing and care of the Akita Inu puppy in the most responsible way, as befits a real athlete. The other day, Zagitova met with the correspondents of the publication "Soviet Sport" and talked about exactly how things are with her ward.

It turned out that Alina regularly drives her pet to the salon for animals, where he is put in order "hairstyle" and trim his claws. But the main emphasis is on training. The Olympic champion herself does not like passive rest and does not allow her dog to lie around days at home. In the intervals between her own training, Alina Zagitova runs and plays with her pet, and also performs the orders of the cynologist. To him, the dog is driven three times a week.

According to the sportswoman, the grown puppy Masaru has already mastered the basic dog's wisdom. The hostess is sure that it is difficult to find a more intelligent and benevolent animal. Without Zagitova's team, the dog will never step back, take a stranger and, especially, do not attack him. However, as Alina admits, a young dog likes to play and mischief, but this is only a plus, because Alina herself does not mind fooling around with her pet.

Journalists asked if the sportswoman would nominate her dog for participation in exhibitions, which Zagitova said she did not intend to do so yet. She perceives the dog, rather, as a friend and companion, to which you hasten after a hard day. Animals are friendly and belong to the "companion dog" class. According to Alina, this is exactly what she lacked for complete happiness. Since the childhood the sportswoman dreamed of a dog, but the desire was fulfilled only now.

I‘m so glad for that interview, thank you. It just once again shows why we love Alinka so much. She is not only incredibly talented but also has a great personality, sweet, humble, caring, yet strong and determined enough to survive all this pressure and work hard. And I think that‘s even more important than any gold medal could ever be❤️

I think so too. I think it will take her very far in life, long after her competitive skating career is done. Also it will help her become a successful coach (when the time is right) whether in Moscow, or in her hometown Izhevsk. (I'm more inclined to think she will ultimately live in Izhevsk surrounded by old friends and her extended family.)

I hope that with the love and support of her family and the joy that Masaru brings her, she can truly enjoy the rest of her amateur skating career. I know it will be incredibly hard work and long hours. She will have to fight through injuries, pain and other challenges. I know as the OGM she will have unique pressures on her from here on out both on and off the ice. But I hope all that she has achieved, knowing she has taken care of her family, as well as securing her future, gives her a sense of freedom to take her skating as far as she can take it just for the joy and challenge of doing it.

Haha... You have a sentimental view on life.
I don't know why, but I see her married with a rich Russian oligarch living in Moscow, Monte Carlo etc :)).
She's ambitious, she'll not limit herself to live in Izhevsk, although maybe now she feels more comfortable there.
Don't forget she wants a house in Moscow.
She may be apparently shy but this comes from her uncertainty which will be diminished with aging.

I don't hate her lol.... I don't think i said something negative on her in my comment. Almost anyone would want to be married to a Russian oligarch lol :)))
I am just realistic and this is what I see and feel related to her and her future :)
I've said that she's ambitious and wants more -these are positive traits of personality, that her shyness will be diminished and gain confidence with aging.
What's negative?

I have strong faith in Alina’s talents, she fought hard to become the jumping power house we see now. Her stamina is unparalleled.

I think there are lots of things that she does in training that we haven’t seen yet, maybe some we won’t even see in the near future. Who knows right?

Eteri is smart and Alina can really jump, winning combination.
