I hate Carmen and I don't know how I would survive this. But I expect at least an interesting choreo.

FSUniverse users just hate Alina. During the Olympics I saw a lot of hate comments and even sexual jokes toward her. I wouldn't take them seriously.
What are these medals useful at? :shocked:

People on fs.universe need to chill out. Seriously. Alina is the reigning Olympic Champion, European Champion, National Champion, GPF Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist. Daniil‘s not going to give her any randomn program. He‘ll put thoughts and work into it and he‘ll make sure the program suits Alina and her style of skating. Just because the music choice isn‘t original doesn‘t mean the programs can‘t be. I‘ll admit that I‘m no fan of Carmen either, not at all, but the most important thing in any program is that the SKATER is enjoying it. So, if Alina likes Carmen, that‘s okay. Because, if a skater is enjoying what he/she‘s doing, the spectators will, too, because they‘ll feel the motivation, energy and love that comes from within while performing. I‘m not very enthusiastic about any of her new programs‘ music choices but Alina and Daniil can make them work, I‘m sure of that.

We move fast in this "love fest" so I can't find the original post, but our lovely and very own EdRoz posted this you tube video a while back about Adam Rippon and others explaining about music choices in figure skating.
And they have a good go at our dear old gypsy from southern Spain, a.k.a., Carmen.

For Alina all the points they make in this video are very appropriate, there are plenty of plus sides to this choice. Most original program score is probably not one of them but the trade off is good, as Shayuki pointed out, Alina is still a young skater, she is developing her performance style. Since she is not a person of big expanded shows of emotion having a clear character to perform, and one she can research on, is a real plus.
Since she works so well with clear feminine characters that play to her natural inclinations they picked the right programs so that she can advance and grow. I remember how she mentioned that getting the character of "Black Swan" was so hard for her in the beginning, I'm counting on our buddy Daniil to choose an arrangement with some creative spin on it (like he did for Swan).
I'm sure she is going to rock the choreo and have very difficult and unexpected steps/spins/transitions, and I'm so curious about the jumping layout that I might just become a Zamboni operator at Novogorsk.

If you was russian it was acceptable comment (although I do not agree with him). But for the non-russian is unacceptable. (Because mock the ceremonies and ways of expressing honor and respect in other cultures - is unacceptable)

And this user was making a joke in his/her comment and asking what these orders meant and how important they were. Legimate question, I don‘t know it either. Jokes are supposed to be jokes. Patriotism is okay but let‘s just relax a bit. Nobody in Alinka‘s fanfest, a proud Russian skater who loves her country, would ever dare to mock it.

There's nothing wrong with disliking a music choice. Yes, this is a fanfest, and I'm sure all posters love Alina, but many can't stomach her doing POTO and Carmen (even worse IMO) and it's fine to express the disappointment.
I didn't intend to offend anyone and i apologyse if it looked like that. I just don't know anything about the significance of the medals and orders and therefore those medals don't have any meaning for me. I would have expected some words on them, explaining the importance.
