So true, I noticed this too. She has higher jumps, with better flow overall...Probably her team really worked towards this goal, not only for better GOE, but to secure her jumps for the future time. How you've stated earlier that 3F :jaw: My heart stopped for a second in that moment. And after further training I think that her jumps will look even better (how I've seen in the men's programs too, the jumps are not there yet, but during the season I am sure they will give us plenty of clean 3A and quads :biggrin:)
 
I really love her short program. It‘s lyrical and romantic. I love the colour and length of her dress, the beautiful spirals and all of these little things that make it a good and flowing program. The jumps come naturally and don‘t stop the flow of the dance.
YouTube comments say it‘s Evgenia style. Maybe, but I love that style.
 
I just watch her SP and I dont like it, I feel is not her, yes she needs to break out of her bubble but she also needs to know whats her style, she is now the current Olympic champion and the program feels all over the place, the music cuts are awful, who did them, but she showed a lot of mature and grow, her artistry is much better and she was lovely as always, I just dont like the program POTO is a hard piece to perform and I feel the way it was done was too sloppy, also someone should tell the choreographer to use only two or three pieces, not half the repertory, it has to grow on me, and is very hard to top Swan Lake, thats iconic, the best wishes for her, Im looking forward to the FP

this is not to hate her or bash her, my issues are with the program not her, she did what she can to pull it off, who create it anyway? Alina was beautiful as always

But really. Can you define "her style" and why this program is not within it? If you consider it hard, than mission is accomplished, the program is done that way on purpose. That is Alina's style, by the way.

And we know who did it, the man people were writing about such nice thigs till recently, like "Alina is happy to have him, he will take care about her". Then he became public enemy, well public opinion is volatile :laugh:

Daniil Gleichengauz (That‘s how Wikipedia writes his last name, no idea whether it‘s accurate or not :laugh: ) made the program. He also made Alina‘s programs last year, the programs that earned her the OGM! I don’t know what‘s happened this season that he suddenly thinks it‘s a good idea to use like five different pieces of music in one program but well... if he wants to experiment better now than last season, I‘d say. He‘s still very young so it’s kind of understandable that he wants to try new things with musical arrangements and choreography. And it‘s not like POTO is that bad. It‘s got some obvious flaws but it‘s not like it‘s a total catastrophe, not at all. But that‘s just what I think. :)

Oh, and just a suggestion: You could maybe add some dots after your sentence ended instead of just commas. My brain kind of ran out of breath reading this post. :biggrin:

Honestly I dont follow the life behind Sambo and who creates what, thats why I ask, it was a legit question, I have no idea who are you referring to.

the program looked too...all over the place, they are using 5 songs for crying out loud, and just because my opinion is the same as others doesnt mean is wrong, Im not a follower of any skater so my opinion is unbiased, it didnt look hard, but well, its just an exhibition is not finish yet...I hope.

Alina is a skater who push the blades till the limits, this program is a soft one, in some places it looked like she was trying to contain herself, is not bad but it didnt seem to connect with her yet, lets wait and see

also the music cuts were awful, no need to be a hater to point it out*

thank you for the suggestion :hslap: I tend to rant and sometimes even confuse myself too. I just dont like it, too many cuts, it looks unprofessional, but she showed maturity and I like it only part I like

Not a single time I used the word "hater", your comment was just really funny, because it looks like combo of excerpts from other comments so much that it looks like ctrl+c/ctrl+v :devil: (not saying it was made that way, just say it looks that way). Yes, it is very hard program, it has very difficult entrances into jumps (most notably entrance into 2A on one foot), it also requires absolute precision and synchro with the music, exactly the same as the last season, it is not different in any way, no matter how much you can't accept it.

But you did not answer what her style is if this is not, what is her and from what you judge it if you don't follow her (as you don't follow anybody, you said).

I follow FS, that include every skater, I dont follow her life style, I dont follow her personally, I just follow her skate as any other skater

my thought are never clear so I apologize, how she skates was pretty, the program was not

and its my opinion, FS is about the perspective of it, who cares about cohesion, the judges would reward her efforts as they should, I just think the reign champion deserve a better program
