Alina Zagitova

Like lesnar001 I loved Eteri and Daniil's reactions skating along with Alina, when she crouches down and they both go down a bit in synch, that is a +5 GOE right there.

Maybe it's acoustics or maybe is Alina, as always, working her special magic with me but I liked the music cuts better than on the ice. Wish the person filming was where Tat is because I wanted to see Alina's beautiful facial expressions more, thankful as I am for having any video evidence at all (person who filmed you rock anyway, and you're my hero).

Her jumps where great and I'm so happy she seems to handle the transition into the 2A so well because that will probably mean they'll keep it, and it looks so wonderful. Her signature combo is beautiful and I don't believe for now they'll move it as last jumping pass (it's no longer about second half now, it is about last jumping pass in the SP and 3 last in the FP). Eteri did that in the Junior's SP, they are doing the combo as the last pass, so, for now, she probably has reason to believe this is the best layout for Alina to perform. If they move it as the last bit I wonder how it'll look in synch with the music, if she ever needs to add anything to that gorgeous 3F (her bonus earner for now) I guess we will find out.

It was nice seeing her team so happy and she skated beautifully and is in top form, she looked super concentrated and handled everything well.

I'm a super happy camper, and now I'm ready for Carmagitovaggedon to hit us.

Juniors have to do 3F as a solo jump in SP. They can't move second jump in combo if something haven't worked out at the first try.
Seniors can. That's the difference.

Ahhhh....thank you a ton for the info....now that makes a whole lot of sense.

Watched the SP.

The Good
Her jumps are great. LOVE the leg extension. Great speed and fluidity. Technically, she's solid.

The Bad
The program cut is horrendous and choreography is way too jam packed.

What's your overall impression? Good? Bad?

I‘m proud of her. That 2A entry seems crazily difficult yet she nailed it. I don‘t mind the music cuts as much as I initially did. It won‘t be my favourite program of hers but she‘s selling it well and there are a few wonderful moments in it. Now on to the free skate with an equally good outing, Alina! Show us who‘s the Carmengitova (I love that one, btw. ) :hap10:

I like choreography, it keeps me awake, mood changes every 30 seconds.:luv17:
If music is the same for more than 30 seconds, and it's slow, I fall asleep.

Oh my god, I just watched the program and I am so impressed! Alinka really skated like a true Olympic Champion, she is in a top physical shape and she improved so much, it's amazing. :luv17:

Her jumps are rock solid, they seem efortless, and her spins are so fast and well-centered. We knew that at the Japanese shows she was still during her off-season preparations time, but now, before the start of the season, she really has it all at a high level.

What I see really breathtaking are all her beautiful and difficult transitions: the Ina Bauer, the 2A crazy entrance, they really complete the image of a well-rounded story, and I hope they will be rewarded as they should be.

Overall Alinka's skating has improved, I think she is more accustomed with the choreo now, the gliding seems efortless, and I really love the ending, where she just has enough time to stop and show all these emotions that her program wants to convey (and accompanied by Eteri, she was so funny and seemed very pleased, too)

I don't know about other people, I like the program, I can see Alinka though it and I am very excited to watch Carmen now. So happy to see Alinka skating again, it's always a great pleasure :luv17:

Alina is doing amazing despite all the talk about her suffering badly from puberty. Her jumps still look great and as always I love her spins! I can’t wait for the FS

I love how she finishes her program in front of Eteri and Daniil. And Eteri's smile after the skate is so big that she must be very satisfied.
