Alina Zagitova

Was just watching one of POTO’s The Ice versions and I liked how they tweaked the ending pose a bit to have her slowly bring down her arm.

It’s a small detail I know but it adds to the storytelling and gives Alina an intimate moment to pause and bring it all to a quiet lyrical end. I like it quite a lot.

Imagine all this with a great dress and make up....WOW.

The 3Lz 3Loop improved. Spins were great. But the step sequence or music edit didn't change. [emoji35]

I suppose Danill didn't take alot of fan reviews? I wish he took out some of the steps. Alina deserves so much better choreo [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

What will "Carmen" look like????

I know my wishes for its structure and layout - I posted that a couple of months ago (and now I can't find it)
But based on the POTO SP - I doubt that Daniil will grant my wishes

But then again I didn't help guide Alina to an OGM - so my wishes are my wishes, and little else.

Whatever they have given Alina - she will skate it to the utmost of her talent and abilities and it will shine.

We will find out tommorrow with the "unveiling" of Carmen at the test skates.

Questions will be answered....

How many different music cuts (and glass breaking, or sirens, etc.... )
What music selections from Carmen are used
Anything out of the ordinary and magical like the "Moonlight" section of Black Swan
I assume the 3lz-3lo will be there - but in the first half or the bonus section
What will the 2nd combo be - will it still be 2A-3T (I personally hope not)
We won't see the costume yet --- and I am eagerly awaiting that too!
Looking forward to the 3F of course.

2A-3T is the smartest for her second combo, with that layout she will get the most points

That's what I figured based on last year, but I didn't know if the scoring changes would allow for something else.

If she keeps the same tech content, I think the layout will be 3Lz3Lo 3Lz 3S 2A // 3F2T2Lo 2A3T 3F

BV: 47.51 (with the bonus)

Or maybe Eteri will be Eteri and we will see something like that

2A3T 3Lz 3S 2A // 3Lz3Lo 3F2T2Lo 3F

Scoring changes only change GOE, but you're still only allowed to do the same number of jumping passes and repeat 2 jumps

I would normally say something bad about TAT but I dont swear on sundays. To know that some people like Tarasova are still upset Zhenya did not win gold makes Alinas OGM even more enjoyable to me. I am not surprised TAT did not applaud Alinas fine SP. She was being real. She was being herself. I am so glad being disrespected so much since she won olympc gold does not bother Alina as much as it does her supporters. Alina is a true professional and a good role model to her little sister and younger Russian skaters.

She did applaud for Alina albeit shortly. You have to watch the whole video of her test skates. I‘m actually fine with TAT if she keeps her mouth shut about Alina. She doesn‘t have to like her or her programs but keep quiet about it. To badmouth you‘re Olympic Champion who‘s such a nice, hardworking girl - big no-go. So as long as she doesn‘t give any mean comments anymore, I don‘t have a problem with her. You can‘t like everyone or you sometimes just like some people more. The thing that matters is how you act about it.
