Alina Zagitova

I'm adviser of the National team, I am VIP, I have no time to look at the ice ,
I have my opinion - no fire, still cold on the ice rink , and I'm busy - important people came to me

Now that's an interesting picture, if you're going to be that critical of someone you should at least know what you are criticizing. Russian Fed Officials, that go to Sambo, Novogorsk and all else might have seen this program before, otherwise it was new. Since she is obviously someone with a huge FS experience she might have had some great insights to provide to Alina and her team, but as it stands....kinda not. With her experience, regardless of personal passions, caring for Russian Figure Skating as a whole, I would look at something with an eye to improve it, trashing for the sake of trashing is not a road conductive to better performances.

Wow look at her jumps in the warm up

About the leg kick up after the 2A...see....as she slows it down it looks better.

Yes, her jumps are ok, she doesn't have technical or physical problems. Alina (as the other ladies who ahd similar problems) just needs to become accustomed on the environment of big stadiums and audience again. On the small rink she was flawless.

And sorry again if I am getting annoying :D just I am at work and have nothing to do, I decided to research a bit and found Carmen skated by Daniil

It's not his best Performance, jump-wise, but I think he is injured here. If we exclude the jumps, his program has similar cuts to Alina's (and they are the same age here). I hope that the memory of this unpolished Carmen will motivate him and he will turn Alina's Carmen into one of his masterpieces. Just give them some time.

Daniil bombing the ice very well

Well... yeah but he was so devastated. I am glad he comforted Alina after the test skates, he knows how it feels.

Oh poor Daniil, it broke my heart seeing him falling, but on the other hand his artistical skills are obvious ( I also love this old haircut of his, he's looking so innocent ) I am very happy that Alinka has a person like him close to her, always there to comfort and cheer her up even in the worst days.

Discussing other skaters

Just a reminder not to discuss other skaters in this thread or speculate/gossip on the Zagitova's relationship with other skaters, etc. Thanks!

Oh, poor Daniil. But now he found his calling and success as a choreographer. And I think it's great how good he is with the skaters, Alina in particular. He always seems to be her main mentor figure among the coaching team.

No matter how frustrated I might get with him over choreography matters - I think that he is great for Alina.

She seems so relaxed around him and there is such a nice teacher-student bond between them.

September 16th at 1:30PM local Tokyo time Nittele TV is going to broadcast a full showing of The Ice, it's supposed to be the whole show (as in Masaru Dance, I hope, would love to see Alina performing crowd control and teaching dance moves).

Anyway, I here's hoping some kind, loving, Japanese fan uploads the whole show, would be so cool to watch it in full.
