Alina Zagitova

I remember in one of her periscopes, from 31.12, she gets home with her Dad and Sabina from visiting her Grandparents to get some Christmas gifts and her Mom (of camera) opens the door and starts talking to the girls that Santa came with the Snow Maiden and left them some gifts at the family tree (which they proceed to open). And I thought to myself, her Mom is so kind, talking like that to the kids, it warmed my heart a bit, like something from a long lost Christmas movie.

Anyway, Alina's kindness is a testament to her parents and grandparents. I'm happy to see her happy and meeting up with skaters that treat her with kindness like on "The Ice" (among other shows, but this one, just on full group value, was awesome).

I really like this family, I even envy a little :)

Alina gives me a difficult choice .. now I don’t know who will be more interesting to me in this season - big guys without teeths with hockey sticks or elegant and graceful lady’s on the ice  of course ,interesting like athletes :rolleye:

Graceful girls jumping high in the air....look at the PCS on that  Their ankles probably look the same though, all black and blue (either from skates or from getting hit).

Hey I'm happy to be a Zagitova fan, but I'm a Wall-E kinda Zagitova fan, very kind and will even help a cockroach find shelter from the storm.

As long as the cockroach hasn't tweeted any "shade" towards Alina - go for it!!!! :agree:

BTW - a little off topic, but it does pertain to the nice/nasty sides of FS.

TSL seems to be a topic of its own in terms of shade.... I've only watched one and now that I've read more about them (and the love they fail to get from fans all over this Forum) I'm scared to try to watch something else (like they did a program on Russian Test Skates, can't be anything that will make my ulcers feel better, right?).

I'm glad they don't make Alina a headline feature...

What is TSL?

A YouTube channel - The Skating Lesson. They commentate on figure skating events, including the Junior Grand Prix. They also interview coaches, skaters, choreographers, and so on.

They are sort of becoming the Tonight Show but with Figure Skaters...

And they also like to spread gossips (more accurate word would be BS) about Eteri and her girls. I was naver able to watch more than several minutes of their talking (also due to regularly bad sound quality).

Of course you have your opinion. Let the poster who asked watch them and decide for themselves. I enjoy Russian skaters (I’m married to a Russian myself, and we have a young daughter with dual citizenship that skates), but still watch TSL for their insight.

I don't think they are biased towards russian skaters and coaches generally, but particularly towards Eteri's school.

A bit off-topic but didn‘t they really praise Alena Kostornaya ? I only ever watch short parts because the microphones are usually terrible and after a while the comments are driving me mad😂

I may be wrong, because I also see only parts of it always (terrible sound quality and to be honest, they both are rather unpleasant to me, so maybe I'm biased towards them :) ), but from what I saw, they very remind me Scientologists with their "Oxford personality test" or how they call it. I mean the result is always this: "you have such a great potencial, but there are some changes needed, let us do it for you, otherwise you will (now comes some terrible desciption of your complete doom if you do not become one of them and do not allow them to ruin your life)". And that is how I see TSL (and in fact in many so "well-meant" advises I see people are giving to Eteri's girls): "You girls are great but save yourselves before it's too late, let us true experts give you some advices."
