Alina Zagitova

OMG how is possible that athlete her qualites has a problem with visa? That's completely crazy .. I cant believe they dont have her document ok ..

Olympic champion Alina Zagitova is forced to miss the international tournament "Ondrej Nepela Trophy" in Bratislava due to force majeure. Alina Zagitova was not able to fly to Bratislava today, as her consent for departure was incorrectly formulated. Inaccuracy was revealed at the airport. Since the necessary document is not possible to issue quickly, and competitions in the short program will begin tomorrow at 13. 00, the athlete does not have time to start and will not be able to participate in the tournament

consent for departure — it means permission from her parents to travel abroad alone or with another persons ( because she is 16)

I'm so sad for her she is not able to compete and show her programs in not so important competition (so lower pressure) just because some mistake in paperwork. But better to happen it now than before GP. :(

It's not the first time that it happened with her as as I recall.
She did have a similar problem once before.
I'm glad it's nothing serious.

So, she is fine! Thank God!

I must say, I am glad she got this assignment in Bratislava, otherwise can you imagine this to happen at the first Grand Prix?

Well, it's frustrating but she is fine and she has time to refine her programs. I bet she can't wait to show them in their full glamour to us.

Ok, I'm happy it's just that, but how do you screw that up? They're flying out skaters to competitions every week...

She is going to compete at Japan Open too.

Oh!!!!! So much happening in so little time.

I’m sad for her, and for us since we won’t get to see POTO until her first GP.

Maybe something to do with the fact that she is minor and needs consent to travel (maybe the stuff she was using for Japan expired or mentioned her Grandma).

I’m satisfied it isn’t injury because we saw her with Masaru and that looked recent (video on the rink) and she looked fine.

Anyway, whatever reason, I’m sure she’ll use her time to improve her programs and get more secure on them.

Hope her team will prepare right the documents for Japan Open, so we will be able to see her there

Yea and they were in Slovakia a few days before at the JGP so they know what papers exactly they need.

She is underage and it’s an international flight, it makes sense.

Disappointed, but I’m glad it is not an injury or some serious problem with her. Phew! Way past my bedtime but cldn’t sleep cos’ I was so worried. Thanks to all the posters for the updates and transalation! Phew again, and finally zzz for me.
