Alina Zagitova

We should also remember Alina is very talented, and, more importantly, hardworking, tenacious, and has a thirst to improve herself.
Amazingly, she wasn't always like that. She has said that she fundamentally changed after Eteri kicked her out and then took her back in.

bewitched

Beautiful story!!! Thank you very much Joanna, I so touched :agree:

So, now we have evidence — Eteri is not such a monster as we expect

Entire super post

Congratulations, dear friend. :ghug: I am very happy for you, your entire post is very entartaining and thank you for sharing with us this amazing experience :luv17:

Your photos are masterpieces, great idea to make one with the Masaru pose :luv17: Everything you write about Alina proves what we also think about her: she is so calm, serene, friendly and ready to help, her character is one of a kind :luv17:

The whole post

Thank you! Your post allowed me to feel much better than what every Czech feels when there are two things mentioned at once: Munich and 29th September.

Do not feel embarassed, I would be much more nervous in your place, to be honest probably I wouldn't have the courage to adress her at all :agree:

....

After that I wished Alina good luck for the new season, she thanked me and I went away. I couldn't believe what just happened. I met Alina Zagitova, Olympic champion 2018, and I spoke to her in Russian and Eteri took pictures of us and I got an autograph!!! I was beyong happy, I was also embarassed because of the language barrier and my stupid nervousness. I hope that Alina found it sweet and did not think that I am a total idiot, I just really wanted to say something in her language and she listened to every word patiently.

I think that Alina will remember you very fondly.
Your reactions were honest and real.
And you made the effort to speak to her in Russian.

I loved the pictures of you and Alina together.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Thanks for sharing; I can almost feel that I’m there! If I’m ever be as lucky to be like you and meet them in person, I think I will be as nervous and excited too!

Lol re Eteri. Sometimes I feel that the coaches are like the “girl friday” at these events - carry the tissue box, sweater, skateguards; and now even be the photorapher!

Alina at the airport...

She is in the checkered top we have seen before. She seems so frugal, not in new fancy clothes every time we see her.

Looks like Diana is also at the airport. Not sure if she came off another flight around the same time, or she came for mom and Alina.

Whole post.

Thank you!

I loved your post and your pictures, what a great thing to do to try to speak Russian. I’m sure Alina appreciated your gesture. This is such a cool experience to have and I’m glad you enjoyed it, thank you for your generosity in sharing your story with us.

This is my first time posting on Alina’s fan fest. I just saw her exhibition skate and I absolutely loved it. She has such wonderful agility and speed across the ice.. an absolute pleasure to watch. I look forward to seeing her win her upcoming events!

Welcome to Alina’s fanfest!!!

Over at FSO, a poster said that he didn't like the EX because, in his mind, it was basically Eteri speaking through Alina, saying that she is a survivor, instead of focusing on Alina herself. I haven't thought of it that way, but ok... :slink:

I think Diana arrived before and waited for them, she posted a picture to her stories showing a plane ticket from Prague to Moscow and her American passport (Yup, she is also a US Citizen having been born here, USFSA would probably love to add her to the team as an Ice Dancer).

And no one will call her a traitor
