Alina Zagitova

Alina moving to Moscow in early 2014 according to her previous coach Natalia Antipina:
http://izhlife.ru/story/78544-trener-zagitovoy-pereehav-v-moskvu-alina-dvazhdy-travmirovalas-no-spravilas-s-ispytaniyami.html

So she wasn't even 12yo yet.

Yea but in skate.ru they is that she train in Iznevsk till 2015 (http://www.fskate.ru/skaters/3391.html), and almost everywhere is she was 13 while move to Moscow to train there too, maybe she start to cooperate in some way with Eteri a year before and after she give her chance in the team. :)

I read somewhere that it was January 2015 she moved to Moscow (I'll try and find this interview with her father later), so maybe this ^ was the case of misremebering/confusion (e.g. coaches often think in seasons like 2014/2015 and she moved mid-season).

This blog post seems to agree with this too. Not sure how reliable is the information in it but at least it provides a lot of cute videos of young Alina. :) (Check out her carmen outfit - she was aspring to be Carmen from a young age! :) )

I'll translate it later if there's an interest.

Edit: in the video from this competition http://www.fskate.ru/results/tour/1318.html (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpEvBT-XsvU) we can see Natalia Antipina, so presumable Alina was still coached by her in 2014. Intrestingly, Alena Kostornaya participated in this competition too, Alena was in 6th, while Alina was 25th. :) What a journey this girl made!

I think I read somewhere that Alina moved to Eteri at age 12 and couldn‘t even jump all triple jumps then. I always found that to be the most impressive since she became Olympic Champion three years later. But I don‘t know where I read it so it might be incorrect.

As I said before, I had to punish myself for criticizing the POTO and Carmen before the start of the season, calling these programs old and warhorses :palmf:. I did this - I ate three licorice sweets today :drama:. I hope that this is enough and I will be forgiven . I do not want to jump from the balcony, I have the seventh floor

You are forgiven, for Eteri's mercy is endless

By the way, Alina's make-up was just perfect at the Nebelhorn Trophy, do you think she did it herself or that hired Shiseido professional helped?

herself. It's look like her usual make-up. :scratch2:
I think we can see a new make-up from Shiseido professional at the Japan Open.

OMG, TSL.. if I understood correctly (usually the sound in the video as from the toilet) they described Sergei Dudakov as "a character from Brighton Beach " meaning that he looks like a gangster)) :palmf:
I'm now ashamed of my avatar :drama:
Someone, advise me a new avatar, with a decent person this time
For me, Sergei looks a bit like Jack Bauer from "24”

Well he does kinda look like the typcial 'Russian gangster' in American movies 😂🤣 sorry but it's the truth. I think his resting bi*ch face is also not helping 😂 he looks much more friendlier when he is smiling.

I was wondering in which year she had broken leg and arm and how old she was while started to train under Eteri. I could not found it. If she've started work with Eteri when she was 13, broke leg and arm and in 14 she dominate her international debut season with wins at JWCH and JGP Final and placed 2nd after Evgenia at the National championschip. It's look almost impossible. And after two years she won OG .. I have no words ..

When you imagine what progress she has made in such a short time, and how much she progress again since Olympics, then we have something to look forward to. She is still very young and she progress by mile steps.

She started work with Eteri at age of 13 and almost right away she broke her lag and arm. They went to Test Skate somewhere (sorry, I do not remember where did they go, it wasn't Novogorsk) and there she broke her leg and arm. I agree, it is imaging how fast she recovered , she had to learn again how to walk, not just how to skate. and yes, next year she dominated her international debut season . She is survivor!

:laugh2: Sergei is a badass, perfect counterpart for Eteri. Don't change anything, I think I'm not alone who likes his sharp poker face. Do not pay any heed to those two candy boiiis

no. She broke her leg at the competition. Local competition - Sportakiada.
And it wasn't right before "the next year when she dominated her international debut season." It was the season before it.
I think she broke her leg at this completion http://www.fskate.ru/results/tour/1367.html (12 - 17 February 2015)

14/15 - season when she moved to Moscow. In the beginning or in the middle of the season. And she broke her arm and leg in Feb.
15/16 - season with just local competitions. she was very inconsistent.
16/17 - her international debut season
17/18 - OG season

This is very sweet of you! If this memory stays in teamzagitova's archive, I would be honoured!

I want to thank you all for the kind words and I wish you to meet Alina Zagitova one day too. She will travel more and more, to Asia, America, even Australia. All of you will have this opportunity sooner or later, let's just hope that Alina stays healthy!

I made my mum watch JGP with me and she asked me why they needed to send a personal bodyguard with these girls. Meaning Dudakov obviously.
