Could you, please.
Be sure to discuss skaters in their respective Fan Fest/National threads. Do not bring up other skaters.

I like the idea of quads for the ladies.
As long as they don't go down the path the men have fallen into with quad-splatfests.

I'd say right now the only issue I have with the quads (the limited ones I've watched) is the LONG setup into the jump.

To me it will be even more impressive when coming out of footwork, etc....

Exactly as lusk8 said — long, long set up, on two feet, I don’t like it too

Or this:
Skate Wars: Episode IV - A New Red Ballerina
Skate Wars: Episode V - The ISU Strikes Back
Skate Wars: Episode VI - Return of of the Carmen

The ISU channeling their inner "Storm Trooper" with the "Zagitova Rule"

They fired their best shot at Alina....

And missed :dbana:

We compare Alina’s achievements and abilities and other skaters .. don’t be so angry)) :coffee:

If you wish to compare Alina Zagitova to other skaters it is best done in the Russian Ladies thread and not in her Fan Fest.

Thank you.

That seems a bit...draconian. Especially when the intent is to compare her favorably. It would be a different story if people were being critical, but if everything is positive why is it such a terrible thing to even *mention* other relevant skaters. It's natural to discuss favorite skaters in comparison to others--it's a competitive sport after all.

Maybe we can just refer to them as 'other skaters who shall remain nameless'. Or - oswsrn. Or just OS for short. :confused2:

Lovely Japan press article in English about Alina and Masaru, detailing the Airweave gifts

http://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/AJ201810050027.html

Masaru is now at 22kgs (that's 48.50 pounds, Akita female dogs usually weight between 70-100 pounds when fully grown).

Masaru is going to get BIGGER?

I wonder if Alina gets any help from Rusfed or Japan paying for Masaru's upkeep. Masaru is one expensive puppy. No wonder poor Alina has to do run around doing all those sponsorships.

...wait... Masaru is a female doggo? wow I'm out of it :laugh2:

All russian speaking fans are aware of this. The fact is that Alina had a small linguistic problem related to this. "Masaru" means "Victory" in Japanese - Alina decided to call the puppy in honor of Olympic victory, and in Russian, the word "Victory"("Победа") has a female gender. But it turned out that in Japanese word "Masaru" has male gender, so Alina doubted for some time. But the Japanese said that there is nothing bad if the girl-puppy will be so called and the name remains.

Alina working on her endless twizzles for the SP had me excited. Hope the back posture whilst crossovers are more worked on too.
