Hi guys I'm back with the Helsinki around the corner! I'm soo bussy with school right now but can't miss that .. I'm super excited to see Carmengitova too!! It's quite a long time since we saw her so I looking forward to see how she grow in this program!! :love: in all her programs!! :yahoo:

Q: What is "beauty"?
Alina: For me the "beauty" is the "success" itself. People who are truly beautiful are also successful in everything they do.

Uhmmm, I really like Alina, I am a fan, and I wish I could understand this wisdom. But she skates great, is a very nice and humble girl and I am giving her a credit of a 16 years old girl. :)

Switching jumps around, particularly these combos, are usually indicative of struggles but I hope that's not the case! Strange they would switch it back because she was struggling with that layout at test skates, then the team swapped to the loop combo in the second half and she seemed to cope with that better. We shall see in the next few days, I hope she goes clean!

Not in the UK. Off to work I go... hoping to be able to still catch glimpse of Alina in practice

We celebrate november the 2nd as the "All Souls Day" (Officially it is called "In the memory of the faithful departed" but we call it just "dušičky" aka little souls :) ). However this is originally pagan (celtic) fest incorporated by catholic church.

That's generally true. I hope it's not the case here. It's more difficult to do the combo in second half that's for sure, but in Alina's case I think the strategy to have 3Lz-3T first may work better. It's an easier jump more reliable (higher rate of success) so can boost the confidence and performance. If you fall/pop your first jumping pass then you will have it in your mind for the next 3 minutes of your program... The disadvantage is that legs are tired in second half and the loop may be prone to underotations. Probably that's the reason behind this decision, if the plan ends up true.

P.S Anyway, I hope there will be some practice videos so we can have a better picture...

In my country today is All Saints' Day ( festum omnium sanctorum) we don't work . This is far from the American Haloween party. Tomorrow is All Souls' Day in these days everybody goes to the semetaries. That would be working day but we have a long week-end because of the changing of the working days. We will work in Saturday next week instead of this Friday.

Sorry , this was OT I just wanted to say I'm lucky I can watch Alina and Hanyu's competition live!!!:dance3:
