Alina Zagitova

Golden Alina!! Our Olympiska Championska or so it sounds to my ears when TAT says it.

I congratulate Stanislava for her silver, she is a real lady. And, of course, Alina. She overcame her nerves and delivered very good skate. We know she can do even better, but in not so easy situation she proved she is a fighter :clapper:

So today we are celebrating Alina's first GP win from this season :yahoo: I am so happy for her, you can tell how much pressure she had on her shoulders, but still, she delivered :luv17:

I would like to say that our Eurosport commentator praised Alina a lot, he said that she is very mature now, and that her skating improved a lot. He praised her step sequence, her charisma, energy and her choreo, perfectly synchronized with the music.

And for me, as it is the first time I'm watching Alina at TV this season, I must say that her dresses look even more gorgeous here, and that she's becoming better and better every day! :yahoo:

First GP Gold of the season and 2 for 2. Two competitions and two golds.

Not perfect but clean and I was mostly wishing for clean. She could easily get 30 points more in total score between the two programs.

Happy, happy, happy!!

And tomorrow is Lara Croft time!!!

I was so worried and scared, that didn't enjoy of watching her performance at all :sad21:
I don't understand how some parents can watch their children's competitions in real time

+100 !!! I worry and therefore I have a headache

She was just nervous and her score was like 10 points less than she normally scores. She looked tight on the jumps today but it‘s a gold and rightfully so. I‘m happy for her! :)

Why Alina was so sad after her perfomance? I'm worried. I hope, everything is fine with her health.

I suspect Alina is disappointed with her performance. We are all super thrilled that she won, but she might not be as thrilled with the scores she received. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Wanting to do better is a reflection of Alina's competitive spirit and respect for her sport.

I'm counting down the days to Rostelecom now. 13 days to go! :yahoo:

I think it's because she's a perfectionist and, how she stated in her interviews, it's very important for her to skate clean. But she wasn't so sad as she was after the SP, I think she seemed so serious because she was already thinking at all the things she wants to improve.

She was a little bit tense today, we are watching her since some time already and we know when she's nervous as soon as she steps on the ice. She was more relaxed at Nebelhorn and JO, but that's understandable because the stakes are here way higher. I consider it a great sign that even under this huge pressure, even being tense and everything, she delivered a great performance. :luv17:

I guess she knew she could've done better. She can do that combo even in her sleep, if only she can go for it confidently in a competition. It's just a mental game for her now and it's a process of conquering her nerves. She was able to smile later though and I trust that she will build her confidence on this win with an even more desire for improvement.

Guy at press conference asked if she could do a Carmen EX with Kolyada at the Gala tomorrow.

She laughed away and said: don’t bet on it.
