I was quite surprised by his announcement, being done on TV made it even more official.

If he is talking about it publicly for the first time, and they know the weight of expectations, must mean they are certain it will be a go for Alina.

I was expecting them to maybe go for a 4F since her 3F looks great and is her most expendable jump (meaning the one she doesn’t use for combos this season). On the other hand 4Lo makes sense for her because the Lo is one of her strongest jumps, the 4Lz is insane but Dudakov has it on his speed dial so for him it would be something he would go for.

Alina is focused and has the perpetual fire in her eyes, she’ll work towards this relentlessly and she’ll get it down to perfection.

I was also thinking about 4F. But honestly, I didn‘t expect quads at all at this point. Not because I don‘t trust Alina or her abilities but more because she‘s already struggling with growing and everything. She‘s so, so brave.

And you‘re totally right, this being mentioned in an official interview by Daniil means the attempts must have been close and they‘re confident she‘ll manage them next season. I‘m literally so excited right now. 4Lo by Alina! She would be the first one to land it, wouldn‘t she?

My anxious heart has to say this, though: Please be careful, guys. I know Alina is determined and strong but don‘t risk too much. She has already problems with her knees. Take care of our girl‘s health, that‘s the most important - more important than any quad in the whole world!

It makes me more assured, though for SP. Her team seems totally confident about Alina so it means they know she is ready - even ready to try to train quads. She‘ll rock today!

So, 4 girls already at least 2 who are training quads, two who have landed them. This is truly crazy! Let‘s hope they‘ll be ready. The only thing I don‘t want to see is splatfests. :think:

Thank you, I've heard about this interview but never actually saw it. He sounds very reasonable. That's how people should speak about such things.

Well, yes, but everyone is entitled to have an opinion and a preference (based on their own reasons: personal, professional etc). We cannot impose to others what to like as well as nobody can impose to us what to like...

This is not about opinion, about personal taste. We (or at least me) do not speak about programs and performances per se. We speak about 15/16 y. o. girl who was constantly forced to hear "you may be an olympic champion but we like Zhenya more".

Certainly TAT's opinion, or Max's or x, y didn't influence me and I don't see how they have tried to impose their opinions on others.
I'm not saying that all Alina's fans are always so wrong, but surely I can say that some fans, most of them, especially those who write on IG, are wrong. And it's bad especially for Alina, because they contribute to her image, even though this is not their intention.

I was deliberately not commentating about any of this and I won‘t now. Come on, guys, we have lots of things to focus on. Alina is taking the ice so soon! We have exciting news! Let‘s just leave this behind and make Alina‘s fanfest into the cheering zone it usually is during competitions! Afterwards we can talk about unpleasant topics all we want but now it‘s Alina-time and she needs positive vibes!

I'm sorry that I say this, but I'm tired. I never wrote anything on Max's or someones else's instagram, twitter or whatever apart from "You're so cute", "Good luck" and "Good job". No on of us, who visited this thread, did. What's the point go here and scold us?
Just a few hours ago I was banned on sports.ru forever for one private message to the staff with a plea to not throw firewood in the fire and choose headlines more carefully. And I don't remember using in the letter anything stronger than "please" and "Dear sirs".
May I come to the only place on the Internet where no one bashes anyone and have my comfy thread full of love? I beg you, don't take it from me.

The last what I wanna say about coments about Alina and rude fans is, that it's totally ok to have differents opinion. It could be a little bit shocking she won (not for me at all), but she deserve and it has nothing to do with the fact Zheya did not. They both show absolutely stunning performences and only one could win. That's reality, that's sport. I think it was said enough, it's 9 month later and everybody have to move. I understand fans are rude after ofensive, disrespectful etc. comments about our Alina, (I'm to and I wanna shut up them), but I just dont agree with post like "hoping about someone get cancer, his family died or thing like this .." It's a little too much. Let's let both girls compete in friendly atmosphere. That's what they deserve at the first place.

And now go Alina. I'm looking forward.

With regards to Quads, I’m really excited for Alina to try it! She’s really such a go getter and although she’s having a tough time adjusting to her growth right now, I see it as a positive thing! It’s honestly the best time for her to pick up quads as she’s also relearning and readjusting her jumps now. Also people shouldn’t forget, she ONLY picked up triples AFTER she broke her legs and had to relearn how to jump altogether. The team talking about it seems like she might have already gotten it down in practice at least, and they are just polishing it now, especially since Eteri’s camp seems to generally not talk about something unless they have confidence it can be done so its not going to just be empty talk.

I really hope to see her win a back to back Gold in 2022 and with quads in her arsenal it would make it a lot easier to win. She also reminds me a lot of Yuzuru who upped his ante of Quads to keep up with the juniors and WON back to back gold. I love how motivated she is to keep competing and getting better and I’m so excited for what she has in store for her.


On another note, hoping everything goes well later for her SP!!

She look so nervous before she start. But the jumps was beutiful. It seems to me that when she went for ina bauer she realized she nail it. The crowd was with her, I have goosebombs! And after the end pose she look like she start to cry from the happinnes for a sec .. 80.78 NO WORDS!!!!
