Alina Zagitova

Finally I've seen Alina and other girls. Beautiful as expected. Alina's back-up combo without rippon was interresting, even if little unstable. But being prepared for all eventualities is necessary. Otherwise her skate is light as if the snowflake was floating over the ice.

As fo the others, Alyona and Anna are struggling for "cuteness overload of the year" title, Sasha was funny with her "I will stay and slay the combo and I don't care the OG winner is waiting for the ice" :devil:, Kamila is aspiring for "new wonder junior" title next year.

I can't say how it is possible to have so much greatness in just one team.
 
I just watched Alina. Well, the only things I can say is: She looks to a giant next to the 3A junior trio. And she slayed like the champion she is. 3Lz-3Lo was :love: 3F-3Lo a bit shaky but it‘s good that she has a backup plan. Prepared for all eventualities... how very Team Tutberidze, how very Alina Zagitova! :yahoo:
 
I just re-watched Alina's Carmen from Rostelecom thanks to the Eurosport guys who were playing it before the ladies short. The commentator was quite impressed with her performance and praised her a lot. He also thought Daniil(who he constantly calls Dudakov :palmf:) overreacted when she doubled that flip because given her potential, Alina's coaches got used with perfect performances from her side. I think Daniil only wanted a new WR for her. :agree2:

That was when they were going all Daenerys with Alina’s titles and she thought they were finished, when to do her bow but heard the “and Masters of Sports” and had to go around [emoji23]

Maybe they could use our version “Alina Zagitova first of her name, the undefeated, winner of Gold medals and podium spots, Queen of the Double Headed Eagle and honorary Princess of the land of the rising sun, conquerer of the Olympic Gold, the Grand Prix Circuit and the European titles and protector of Masaru, Iriska and Zephyr.”

Would be shorter than theirs too.
 
Alina did get her medal back, right?
This isn't some bizarre way of making Alina hungry for Beijing 2022 gold? :p

I can not say for sure, because everyone knows that the monsters from Sambo 70 can offend the girl and not return the medal :laugh:
 
Watched Alina's performance - it was very good and emotional performance, and that gutsy second combo! No opportunity is lost to train and prepare for competitions :)

(Also, I wanted to let Iriska out :))

The preparation to the GPF is going calmly. We have started, and will be going to Canada soon.
Yes, I already have experience, but not always everything goes well. Sometimes there are problems, but everyone has them, one has to learn to overcome those.

I was going to say that it seemed too light [emoji23]

When the two guys held it up you could see in easily swaying and Alina’s medal didn’t have that at the Olympics.

But hats off to them: it looks really great, they even did the ribbon.

Alina about Rika Kihira
Rika didn't surprise me. I competed with her in juniors and she was doing 3A. Of course, she is very impressive, but that makes move forward.

I am constantly astounded at her level of maturity. Graceful on ice, gracious off ice, Alina has the mindset and spirit of a true champion.
