Jackie Wong has notes on Alina's practice.

Nothing marked...did Alina have a perfect practice? :scratch2:

Jump, Alina, jump, jump, jump! :hap10:

I'm going to say she was squeaky clean because on all the others he marked (UR, fall, e, !, hangs on and etc).

But I'm still mad at RusFed's decision to fly their team in at the nick of time.

Moscow is 11 hours ahead of Vancouver, their journeys probably clocked in at 19 hours on a plane/airport_waits (thankfully sans snakes on a plane).

I mean, it's like they thought:
Fed1: "We have a 21 year old doing 3A, the only other person doing it is 5 years younger, I know!!! Let's bring her in a few hours before the first practice."
Fed 2: "Hey we also have a girl on her first senior season who made the finals, I know what we'll do, let's put her in the same flight with the 21 year old."
Fed1: "But we also have an Olympic Gold Medalist who classified 1st for this event...what shall we do?"
Fed 2: "Let's place her on a flight across 2 continents, it'll take 19 hours but the place is only 11 behind us in time zone so that'll be super. We'll take all the juniors in the same flight with her".

Talk about jumping through hurdles and overcoming (created) adversity.

There is an opinion that the heaviest moment after the change of time zones comes on the fifth day

I fear for the gala.....

But in my personal, and totally biased, experience based on a sample size of 5/6 (me and assorted family members) traveling across the globe and going straight into business meetings, it got rough right from the start.

I once started a presentation with a wrong USB, then switched to yet another wrong USB, my husband once started speaking Spanish (to an all English speaking crowd).

I know, I know, we are a bunch of pazzos.....it's a wonder people pay us anything to do something at all.

But still, if I had in my hands a team of stars the last thing I'd do would be to add hurdles (hypothetical or real) to them putting out their best performances.

Don't worry, Daniil has taken care of that worry. Alina will get a nice rest in the middle of her program while she puts up her hair. :)

I bet this time they are going to play the Jeopardy music as the 12 sec count starts and she begins to tie her hair....
