Alina Zagitova

Yea I think definitely there was a good reason for that decision. It look a little strange that she come last minute, but think about it. She was a little injured after GPF so probably need some special treatement, maybe a little training deficite could be there. That does not help. Also the fact that Zhenya is there. Everybody is putting them agains each other. That's hard for both to concentrate. They are just two very young girls who have a common history. What's more, both wanna prove something, Zhenya she is good enough after bad fall season, Alina that she is winner and trully deserve to win olympic gold. Junior ladies are there, the two of them with quads. There is a lot to handle for 16 year old girl. There will be extrem pressure. The atmosphere will be brutal. So yea, it can be a little risky arrive that late, but also it can help, and I think that there is more positive aspects then negative. Also Eteri was with her the whole time, she come with her, in train she spend time with Diana, so in friendly atmospehe. Trains are also not that bad, you can walk there, stretch a little .. it will be ok. :)

She looks happy and healthy today! That is what is most important :)

Maybe a train trip was exactly what was needed. Something different. A train seems much more fun and comfortable than a plane. And less risk of exposure to sickness. With Diana there it must have been like a sleepover in motion :)

Lets wait how they will explain it after the competition, it would be surely one of the first interview questions. 😁

Hope Alina will have a great start tomorrow!

there're reasons. and really good reasons.
Her teammates don't receive that much hate and pressure from the media and other "so called experts".
And there're 1st channel who is paying for rights to stream ladies (JUST LADIES) practices. So it's a show. and somebody need to provid it. And her teammates helped with it.
While Alina got one more a low-stress day to practice at home.

I totally agree with you! Seeing the show from yesterday's practice, I understand why they made this decision.

Perfect runthrough and practice for Alina! She is in great shape, and that 3F+3Lo combo was perfect.

I thing this way both girls recieved exactly what they needed based on their personality. Zhenya support of TAT&co in a beautiful dress during the draft and official ceremony and Alina an extra day without too much attention and night journey through the winter wonderland with Diana. Hope both girls will perform their best!

You know I didn't even think about how beautiful the view of the Russian winter countryside must be from the train window. At the beginning of the season Alina did an interview with T. Flade right after the Russian Test Skates. She said the thing she wanted most for herself was to skate with calmness. I'm getting it now.

Does anyone know who the stocky man next to Dudakov during the practice was? Never seen him with Team Eteri before.

Two beautiful girls:

Wonder what they were talking about. Probably some jump: “But Anya, my 3lz-3Lo was better!“ “No way, I‘ll show you and jump another one right now!“

Ohh it's nice to see her happy chat with her teammates! It could really be good for here to have there junior girls and not be there alone like in test skates. I mean yea of course there are huge rivals, but still ..

Anna seems like an incredibly cute girl. I‘m sure Alina is a role-model for her and they seem like they get along pretty well. At this point, yes, they are rivals but despite Anya and the other juniors competing at senior nationals, they are still juniors and Alina has the upper hand PCS and reputation wise. Next season when they‘ll all compete with each other internationally it will be tougher than it is now. I like them all, though and I want both of them to be clean tomorrow and I think they will. :agree:

Does anyone have a video of the full run-through Alina did at training today? I only saw a clip of her 3F-3Lo and ... is it just me or did her height improve? The combo looked SO BIG with so much flow and ice coverage, wow.

Here‘s that clip. That‘s one of the best loop combos I‘ve ever seen her do. Unfortunately we won‘t see it tomorrow but 3Lz-3Lo is also beautiful! (Don‘t blame me, my favourite Alina jump is and will be her flip. )

(Edit: Sorry for mentioning another skater other than Alina but in this case I think it was related to her. )

Two amazing skaters and kind souls  It's a little bit strange to see all the girls competing against one another, Alina against Sasha, Anna and Alena, but that's what sport is...friends outside the ice, rivals on the ice

I think they all learn a lot from each other and that‘s great. They push each other in what seems to be a good way for them. If there‘s so many talented skaters in a group and you feel comfortable and like you belong there, then it can be a great inspiration. I like them all, and despite having my favourites of course, it‘s easy to root for all of them. :)

I wonder if they will have GP events together next year.

If all the 3A will advance to seniors (and I hope and think they will), each one of them should receive 2GP's so they will probably meet.

And they will meet in the GPF for sure[emoji3][emoji3]
